Cowboy fans: Where are you from?

Ain't it amazing how many fans are outside of Texas?

That's just the ones on this board. We truly are America's Team. Quite possibly the Worlds Team!

Born in Dallas, raised in Brazil, Borneo, Malaysia and Australia, lived in New York and now LA.

was that the gold mining city?

BTW,

I was born in Arlington, TX, and moved to Southlake, TX when I was a wee little lad (~2 mo.)

There are several towns in the Hills. I live in a suburb(if you can call it that) of Rapid City. The town you are thinking of is Deadwood, but you can still prospect for gold in any of the streams in the hills and find gold. The Homestake gold mine was the most productive gold mine EVER, but it ran dry a few years ago and is now being converted into an educational facility. I'm about 50 miles south of Deadwood and 20 miles south of Sturgis(bike rally) and about 10 miles north of MT. Rushmore.

The big city of Walnut, MS..... population 3000 (maybe):)

Actually, the population of Walnut never changes. Seems that every time a baby is born, a man leaves town!:laugh2:

I agree 100%

PS, I wasn't being defensive, I was just thinking DW meant to say the board as opposed to the country.

Not sure.

I know one thing, Spurs/Mavs is going to bring out some serious smack talk :D .

I really didn't mean one or the other... although I'm sure the board is "over-represented" by out of towners. But I think a lot of that has to do with whether or not you define "fan" as someone who passively roots for the team or someone who's hard-core and really follows the team.

And I was exaggerating somewhat with the 90% number. The only point I was trying to make was that if you try to say that you should root for your local team, then the Cowboys would lose a huge chunk of their fans.

Born and raised in Dallas, I love my Cowboys, but very glad I am FROM Texas. I left 20 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did.

It is somewhat odd, however, that there seems to be a disproportionate number of posters on here from the VA/MD/DC area. We could raise some he!l at a skins game some day.

Hagerstown, Maryland btw.

My sister used to live there, her husband was an engineer at Mack Trucks.

I live in Janesville, Wisconsin, about 30 miles south of Madison.....my old stomping grounds.
