Shocker.....the energy in this thread misses the point that Troy Aikman is being accused of stealing (bootlegging) Lamar Jackson's renditions and marketing of "8".

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/40592937/lamar-jackson-troy-aikman-number-8-trademark

Jackson's attorney says his trademarks of these sayings using the number were registered before Aikman's "Eight" and that the products from Aikman's company are "highly similar in sound, appearance, connotation, and commercial impression" to Jackson's trademarks

Regardless, with or without your defense of his dumb try, he will lose as he should.

Cowboys QBs stay losing these days.
So says the Eagles fan that said he is now a Texans fan. But yet here you are still putting down everything and anything that the Dallas Cowboys do.

I won’t pretend to defend stupidity.

This is stupidity on Aikmans part.

If he was an Eagle you’d agree.

Difference is Aikman has an actual business reason for the trademark.
He can only legally trademark a stylized and unique logo featuring a number 8. He won't successfully be able to establish a trademark on simply using a number 8.
