Dak made the right play. If Collins and Cooper would've held up Dez would've been 1 on 1 vs. the safety

Smh everyone is saying we scored too soon.

The issue is the pass, not when we scored. Had we scored running on 2nd down, fine. But you don't pass the ball on a 2nd and short with one of your main focuses being draining the clock. It completely mitigates the rest of the drive where it was obvious that draining the clock was a major goal of ours.

He got open, but the pocket didn't hold up and it would have taken excellent anticipation to be the safety and suck the corner in enough. It doesn't matter though because the pass protection wasn't there for that to happen.
