If I’m the Commanders I’m using my backs in the passing game extensively; we have always struggled coverings RBs in the flat.

That's what they've been doing all year already. I think it will continue this weekend. This is why I think we should have Jaylon or someone else blitz often.

Blitzing will force Thomson to stay in and block. Even if we don't get to the QB, keeping Thomson in to block would be a win for this defense.

LAST WEEK: 10
The week-to-week purgatory that is Ezekiel Elliot’s status makes it difficult to handicap the Cowboys on a weekly basis, especially given how well Zeke ended up playing in San Francisco last Sunday (219 total yards, 127 after contact, and three touchdowns). However, if Dak Prescott (one of our focuses last week) can invoke the efficient style he played with against the Niners (145.6 rating on his 19 dropbacks when kept clean) it will go a long way towards Dallas generating enough offense to overcome the league’s 24th-highest graded defense and make a push in the NFC East, where the upstart Eagles are now facing injuries to key players.

I have to admit, the first time I heard Romo on a broadcast I thought he was cheesy and I didn't like it. Now that I've heard him a couple more times, I really appreciate all the insight he brings. He's doing a great job.

He is actually shaming a lot of announcers that have been doing it for years. I did not expect him to at all, but he is.

Football Outsiders has us ranked 30th vs RB and 31st vs TE.

The filters at SharpStats reveal that Washington's passer rating on targets to RB and TE leads the NFL.

The strengths of the Skins' pass offense are our pass D's weaknesses.
