I believe so.

The NFI list can be used for any draft pick that suffered an injury while in college.

That doesn't mean any little ding will qualify, it must be a major injury that resulted in the player missing at least 6 weeks of practice from the date of the injury.

Mark Nzeocha definitely qualifies.

Will it be necessary?

Maybe, maybe not.

There's no harm in starting out on active/NFI when training camp opens. Players can be taken off the list as soon as they are ready to pass their physical and may then start practicing.

If they don't come off the list, they will revert to inactive/NFI when the regular season starts and miss at least the first 6 games just like PUP.

I would prefer to see him on NFI or IR if possible. I just don't see room for him on the 53. Despite the fact that they can't practice during the season, a year on IR would be really beneficial to player like him.

A series of terrible events would have to occur for him to get snaps on the defense this season, IMO. I don't even see Wilson getting snaps on defense.

I'm excited to see the 2 guys that stayed on IR last season, Chris Whaley and Gardner. Whaley's game footage compares favorably to some 2nd/3rd round type DT this in years draft, IMO.

You have carried the flame for these two...and I as well would like to see their journey up and through camp.

If he's truly healthy maybe he could win that 7th LB/ST's spot

I would send that guy money to make some more videos. He has a few more and they're all terrific even if you're not interesting in the specific players.

Gregory is a wow, player, no doubt. I love how he can drive the #9 overall pick, 330 pound Flower straight back.

Indeed. Very good video. It illustrates pretty plainly why I'm so excited about getting Gregory.

At one point in that video, near the end, the narrator says that Gregory is a "Defense changing player", and he really is, IMO. He is going to be a great player, period. The only question is will he get suspended for weed or not. If not, he is going to go down as one of the best picks by the franchise.

Where last year, for most of the season, Dallas had guys like Boatright, Spencer, Selvie, and Edwards along with Mincey (Lawrence only played right at the end of the season)... this year they will have Gregory and Hardy on the weakside and Lawrence and Mincey on the strongside, and Marinelli can mix and match them however he wants in the nickle and dime packages.

I mean, I have never quite seen a position transformed quite this much in one year. It would have been seriously upgraded even without Gregory... but add him and his talent and motor to that group of DE's and they could completely take over games, no ****.

Lord help the rest of the teams if Dallas is making a playoff push when Lawrence and Gregory are just starting to figure things out and Hardy comes in looking for a little payback.

It could get ugly for teams. Rogers won't sit back there on one leg and find the weak link in the secondary anymore, that's for sure.
