Yes, another one of Dak's unfortunate accomplishments is a fan base that is significantly divided over Dak.
Cowboy nation hold tight as the worst is yet to come.......

I have no need to post pro-Dak videos as the Dak clan here provides enough material for the other side of the coin.

It's a divide between Dak fans and Cowboys fans.

They are not the same.
Dumb statement, there are plenty out there that are cowboys fans that realize dak has plenty of blemishes and is not elite but good enough especially with the defense this team has.

You try to make it sound like you can't be both supportive of dak and the cowboys which is just a dumb statement..I know how much you dislike dak but come on man

My dream would be to win a Super Bowl after:
Jerry having to step down as GM, temporarily even, and McClay step in.
McCheese be replaced by Quinn and Dak be benched for Rush.

If the Cowboys won a Lombardi in spite of those 3 position holders, everyone on this board would start calling me a homer because of my positivite posts that would be so constant.

Imagine that.

Fans of the Dallas Cowboys would NEVER "support" a player that blocks the Cowboys from reaching their goals year after year and is a clear weak link that constantly fails over and over.

The only thing your "support" will bring is peace of mind to Jerry to give this bum more years because the fans "support" him so.

We root for the name on the front of the jersey not the back.

Maybe you should consider your own personal status as a fan, take a good look in the mirror dude because you sure spend enough time judging everyone else.

Your "support" of this bum QB will only make it easier for Jerry to give him more money and years and the Cowboys failure to extend even longer.

Dak fans aren't Cowboys fans.

You are incorrect and your generalizations reek of so much hatred towards one player that it is biasing your overall perspective.
It's not just one player.

Zeke was the same way. He was an anchor bringing this team down, but he's gone now. If it was up to some of you "fans" you'd have him back tomorrow though.

Ya'll would've prayed for Jerry to not trade up for Mahomes because "We have Alex Smith!".

That didn't even come close to being an answer. What's your genius idea?
Easy:

My alternative is to sign a much cheaper QB and have the same success that we have with Dak while looking for an actual QB that's worth that top pay. As I said you can lead the NFL in INTs and fail in the playoffs for much cheaper than you're paying Dak.

I don't think it's as difficult as some want to make it. The only thing that makes it difficult is hitching your wagons to a QB that needs a ton of help like the Cowboys have done for the past 15 years with Dak and Romo. Even then if you want to you can be on the hunt for your future QB. The last time the Cowboys took the QB position seriously was when they drafted Aikman.

I use the Rams as an example all the time. If Goff played for the Cowboys and led us to the Super Bowl like he did the Rams he would've been our QB for the next 15 years. Instead, the Rams knew he was a weak link, moved on, traded for Stafford, and instantly won the Super Bowl. Jerry would've NEVER moved on from that. That's an example of a team making a trade to get a missing piece.

Here's the other route the Cowboys refuse to do.... The Cowboys would've never traded up to draft Mahomes in a year that Alex Smith led them to the playoffs. Jerry and Co would have been 100% happy with that and would think they just need to put more help around Smith refusing to see that Smith is the weakness here. That's an example of a team taking a chance and drafting a QB, letting him sit a year, and then giving him the chance.

Then you have the Bucs and Brady. The Bucs moved on from Winston and signed Brady and instantly won the Super Bowl. The Cowboys could've signed Brady, but they didn't, because they didn't want to risk it or move on from Dak. That's an example of a team signing a high level veteran QB and it changing the whole franchise.

The last 3 Super Bowl champs have been teams that were taking the QB position seriously and either draft, sign, or trade for a QB while moving on from a weak link at the position.

So, it's simple really to me. You draft, sign, or trade for a QB. If it doesn't work out then oh well, because it's not working out with Dak either, but you have to take the risks to get the rewards.

I want Dak to play this year, and I’ll root for him to succeed. But one of the reasons I want him to play is because if he can’t go to the NFC ‘ship with this insane defense and receiving core, then I think that will be the final nail in the coffin for me.

I don’t know if the FO feels the same way, but I’m willing to root for him and my team one last year. Hope he proves himself, but history isn’t in his favor
