There is no problem with any human being having emotions. But it is important when you are a celebrity to have some self awareness of the situation you are in and the source of your celebrity.
The team right now needs less people addressing the microphone, and more people with behind the scenes support for a locker room that is struggling on the field.
Less talking and more behind the scenes doing to support your teammates. If you do have to step in front of a microphone its not a shame to say,...
..."It's hard to see your teammates struggle on the field. We want everyone to have success. I can't be on the field, but I am going to do my best during the week and on the sidelines to support everyone."
If they ask another question just rinse and repeat. Don't say anything stupid and don't make life harder for your teammates at the next media session as they have to answer for comments you have made in the past. There is enough crap going on in their lives with regards to the on-field results, they don't have to answer for your comments about tears for this team.
