I don't think there's anyone here that wouldn't be happy with a win, no matter how ugly, on Sunday. So before you go all self righteous on everyone, you may want to consider that.

I know you've been getting this all week, but you've got the best sig-av combo that I've seen in a long while. I'm actually not gonna adblock your sig, 'cause it cracks me up so much.

It's great to see some optimism coming back to the Zone! Keep the faith, my friends!!! :bucs:

I have faith, in the long run. I think we could go 10-6 or 11-5. But I'm not going to kid myself; Johnson is not gonna win a game he starts. And, if we do go 10-6 or 11-5 from a record of 4-5, we'll be something we haven't been over the past few years, hot heading into the playoffs.

I didn't take him as being self righteous. And there will be plenty of people here with many negative things to say win or lose.

We've been gutless from coaches to players recently, I hope it ends this Sunday.

I expect a low-scoring defensive struggle...which may just be what you guys need to have. Wins are wins they don't have to be glitzy, but wins build confidence and attitude.

Brad Johnson needs to manage the game well and your defense has to step it up because I'd be surprised if you put up more then 20 points without Romo.

I am curious how we are getting to 31.

IF we win we have to keep them in the teens though.

Yeah, I think the same.

I can't remember the last time the Bucs allowed over 13 points, much less 31 points.

It just doesn't happen against this defense. It's like hitting a bowling ball with a feather.

NY Post:

BUCS-COWBOYS

THE SKINNY: Now that Brad Johnson will be making his second straight start, the line plummets dramatically because of the dropoff at the most critical position.

"If [Tony Romo] was going to play, it was probably going to be close to a 7-point game," said Las Vegas Sports Book Executive Director Jay Kornegay.

On Wednesday, the line ranged between the Jerry Joneses minus-2 and -21/2, in large part because of Johnson's subpar effort last week against the Rams. "We thought Johnson could fill the void," Kornegay said. "We thought Johnson could come in and manage the game a little better than he did."

"I saw a number as high as 3½ and I've seen some offshore shops deal that number as low as 11/2," said Vegas sports handicapper and radio personality John Kelly. "That tells me the direction the money's going. Vegas books will play catchup to the smart money offshore."

Wade Phillips taking over the defensive playcalling from Brian Stewart? Yawn.

FOR THOSE LOOKING AHEAD: Next week's early number on Giants-Cowboys: Giants minus-7.

42-17 them. Defense sucks, Offense wont score more than 2 TD's. Book it.
