Purple people eaters?

The NFL used to have better nicknames. The big questions about the "Purple People Eaters" were 1) were they people eaters who happened to be purple, or 2) were they eaters of purple people?

The modern day question is if calling them purple people eaters is discriminatory and offensive to people who identify as purple. Maybe we should call them the "Football Team Eaters" to make sure we don't offend any of the snowflakes.
