The Colts, or their fan base, along with so many other teams keep trying to convince the country and themselves that they are "Americas Team." They conveniently want to ignore that only their own fans, and admittedly some football lovers, watch them and other NFL games. But certainly not enough watch or attend their games to make them anywhere near the rival of the team America either loves to hate or just loves. A few weeks ago the Cowboys played (think it was the Giants) on a Sunday? nite game and it was the highest rated NFL game this season. Now I came across the below article citing the Cowboy-Colt game as the highest rated NFL game on any network this season. While it possible either the Colts or Giants want to believe they are America's team, I'm inclined to think that the Cowboys, the common denominator in both games, were the team drawing a lot of the interest. Already another Cowboy game (Cowboys vs. Giants at NY) has been moved from 1:00 PM Sunday to 4:00 PM Sunday afternoon. Obviously, good ratings are expected between these 2 teams in a game which promises to decide the winner of the NFC East Division. The last time we played the Giants in DAllas we were awfull; now it's time for payback, but more importantly outrightly winning the NFC East and going deep into the playoffs.

The Cowboys’ 21-14 win over Indianapolis on Sunday, televised on CBS, was the highest-rated NFL game on any network this season.
Tony Romo passed for 226 yards and Marion Barber rushed for two touchdowns as the Cowboys upset the previously unbeaten Colts, who were on a nine-game winning streak, in front of a crowd of 63,706 at Texas Stadium.
The game scored an overnight household rating/share of 15.8/29. The game, which CBS Sports protected under the new NFL flexible scheduling, out-rated Sunday’s San Diego-Denver game, which was moved to prime time on NBC, by 52 percent (15.8/29 vs. 10.4/16).
The Cowboys host Tampa Bay on Thanksgiving Day. Kickoff is 3:15 p.m. on FOX

Still America's Team after all these decades!

yes still America's team and he is correct.

But also it will help the ratings when the game is shown to 98% of the country.
