Kevin Kaesviharn- Cincinnati Bengals- FS: As a versatile safety with solid overall skills, Kevin emerged as one of the team's leading playmakers in 2006. He led the team with six interceptions and his four QB sacks were indicative of his versatility. He will fly under the radar early in free agency, but look for him to land with a team looking for a dependable player later on.

With six interceptions, and the ability to blitz the qb, he seems like a player Wade Phillips would be interested in....and he should come at a good price.

Want break the bank......

The only thing is...he is definitely under the radar. Whose to say JJ's GM skills would spot him while Ireland and everyone else is more focused on the draft?

Watkins is our man.

Nothing wrong with bringing in some competition. I'm hopeful Watkins will pan out also, and in all likelihood, he will. But nothing wrong with bringing in someone on the cheap to give him a fight for the starting spot.

Nothing against Crazy Cowboy, but if he spotted Kaesviharn, I have a feeling Jerry could manage, as well.

I want to bring in another body to backup FS and challenge Watkins.

If it's this guy cheap or a day 2 pick, so be it.

Just don't draft Nelson or sign Hamlin to immediatialy bench Watkins without a fight.

If a fan can spot him, then rest assured Mr. Jones knows about this player......now, the biggest question is after Wade watches film of the player and discusses how his abilties will fit into his defensive schemes....will he recommend to Jerry to go and sign him?

I think it was the nflnetwork the other day that said that he was the best FS available. If he's cheap I would take a look, but I have a feeling he isn't under the radar of nfl scouts.

This benefits the team in many ways.

Kevin Kaesviharn is cheaper than Ken Hamlin (who right now seems to be the hottest thing walking at Saftey in FA other than Deon Grant who is another hot product)

He's better all-around than these guys and if he gets to do some of the more important things that was similar to the Bengals defense we have a steal.

ThoughtS?

honestly, we used a 5th round pick on watkins, I say make him the starter from day 1 at the first minicamp.

Give him a chance. He can do what KK can do.
