Clearly!I had sad about a month ago that the Eagles were way overrated and yes they are. That team is falling apart down the stretch. Most didn't expect the Dallas to win the East but I thought they had a good chance myself. Now, Cowboys win against Commanders and they win the east and the 2nd seed. I don't pretend toI be some NFL expert guru but I saw an Eagle team barely beating teams. Even at home. Now let's hope this trend continues into the playoffs and with a good performance against Washington and Dallas gets the 2nd seed. With continued success and with any luck, perhaps a Super Bowl birth. But they will have to play their best football of the year.
Super Bowl birth? Lol. 49ers will beat the brakes off Dallas.I had sad about a month ago that the Eagles were way overrated and yes they are. That team is falling apart down the stretch. That was a "prevent" defense on the final drive was it not? The whole idea is to let the other team burn a lot of clock just don't let them get out of bounds?? I don't like it either but I don't think the Defense just laid an egg at the end.Whatever defense DQ had us in against Detroit on the last drive, he better scrap it.
Dallas would have been on 68 like white on rice. The **** wouldn't have mattered. Plus Cambell got greedy and went for 2 more times. Detroit lost. Period and Philly sucks ***LOL. Well for starters, the officials gave Detroit a massive gift roughly two minutes earlier on a horrendous tripping call. So spare us the 2 pt conversion BS.
Two, Detroit is actually a good team so beating them is a quality enough win. Thirdly, less than 24 hours later, the Eagles lost AT HOME to a horrible, three win Cards team. This after barely beating the Giants AND losing to Seattle, 49ers and us three game in a row.
So yeah, right now, there is a gap between us and them.
When will you get it through your head the officials DIDN'T HELP DALLAS. THEY HURT DALLAS. By alerting Dallas' defense to the wrong eligible OT, it left #68 WIDE OPEN. HE CAUGHT THE 2PT CONVERSION. The refs HURT Dallas, not help them. All that happened afterwards was a correction of their error. It would be idiotic to think #68 would be wide open on the 2nd attempt if he was correctly reported to the Dallas defense. Detroit had TWO more attempts to convert and failed. Its lazy, ignorant and presumptuous to say....duh, the refs helped Dallas. Try to be better. The Cowboys are clearly better than the Eagles..........?????????? After watching Detroit on their last possession punk the Boys all the way down the field and should of or could have beat us if it weren't for the help of the officials, I don't see a clear separation between the two clubs. Personally, I'm sick and tired of teams abusing our defense when it matters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just push him in the tush. There is a potential mine floating out there - the backloaded cap contract of Hurts.
If this is what he really is, where he can look great at times and downright mediocre at times, that's a really tough contract.
Playing prevent only makes sense , if they prevent the TD and bottle them up near mid field or before Redzone. Giving an easy TD in about a minute is definitely not the prevent defense design. DQ and our D leaders have to come up with better execution.Whatever defense DQ had us in against Detroit on the last drive, he better scrap it.
Sorry Buddy but you're wrong. The Head Official did help our situation on that play by incorrectly identifying the wrong Detroit player as the Tackle Eligible player. Had he reported 68 as the eligible player you can bet the house that NOBODY would have covered him on that play. How many games have you watched where the offensive tackle get's lost on the line of scrimmage, only to be standing by himself in the end zone catching a TD. I was watching that sports show SPEAK, that has three ex-players on it and they said teams NEVER covered their eligible tackles on plays like Detroit called. They said the eligible tackle was always open in the end zone and on occasion their QB would throw them the ball if they couldn't find an open receiver or TE. Had Detroit gone ahead of the Cowboys on that play, I still think the Boys would have pulled that game out with 23 second since CeeDee was open ALL GAME LONG and THE LEG was on our sideline ready to bang a 70 yd FG if he had to........LOL!When will you get it through your head the officials DIDN'T HELP DALLAS. When we "barely win" we say points don't matter wins do.At this point, I think half the NFC is.
They could easily be 7-9 right now. Easily. They barely won most of their games.
And they're 1-4 in their last 5.
Which player did Detroit call eligible?Sorry Buddy but you're wrong. I thought the defense held on that last stand. Not their fault they did not report a lineman as eligible. The Cowboys are clearly better than the Eagles..........?????????? the only thing prevent D does is prevent you from winning.Whatever defense DQ had us in against Detroit on the last drive, he better scrap it.
Actually, I think many of the Eagles' fans were far less giddy about the true quality of their team than some on this board were.At this point, I think half the NFC is.

Keep crying they held them the previous possession and then we got screwed on offense by a bogus trip. Then they ultimately held on the conversion. Meanwhile Philly had AZ come back on them at home. We are CLEARLY better. The Cowboys are clearly better than the Eagles..........?????????? You mean the "everyone back off the line of scrimmage 20 yards" defense?Whatever defense DQ had us in against Detroit on the last drive, he better scrap it.
The Boys went down to Arizona and got their lunch handed to them by a bunch of bottom feeders. The defense couldn't stop Arizona all day long and they couldn't stop Detroit when they needed a great defensive stand. Keep dreaming that the Cowboy defense is better than the Eagles, because it's not. This second half of the season has been like the movie Ground Hog Day for the defense, they keep getting beat against the run over and over and over again.....LOL!Keep crying they held them the previous possession and then we got screwed on offense by a bogus trip. Then they ultimately held on the conversion. Meanwhile Philly had AZ come back on them at home. We are CLEARLY better.
The defense held onto what?????? Detroit marched down the field like they were playing against a Practice Squad defense, it was bad, really bad. The Boys were fortunate that Goff's swing pass was low and away to his RB because had it been on target they would have scored on that two-point conversion. The defense in the second half of this season has been undiscipline and horrible, it's not the defense that we've all grown to love and respect. Quinn needs to get his butt out of the luxury box and down on the sidelines so that he can look his players in the face when things are going bad.I thought the defense held on that last stand. Not their fault they did not report a lineman as eligible.
