This is a good hire, again another young guy.

Either him or Choice would have been good.

Any poster who doesnt think this position is important doesnt get it. maybe they dont work the number 1, but can mkae a difference with the others. We had a RB coach a while back, good coach, got a lot out of the squad.

Dallas really picking up steam

im still more interested in the OL coach, but this was a good hire.

I like this hire . When he was healthy in 2024 Kamara averaged 4.2 yards half dozen TD’s on the ground and almost 1000 yds. I like the fact that MM staff walked the plank , new voices fresh start 7-10 demands .

Soo glad TC is staying at Texas. He doesn’t need to join the clown show in Dallas. He’s in the much better spot right now.

He's a RB coach who seems to be qualified and has experience. I don't think a RB coach is going to make or break the team. I'm more interested in who we will have as our RB1 and #2.

lol what? Ekeler is a solid RB2 for any team right now
Ekeler, the RB who only had 77 rushes for a low 367 rushing yards last year? The same player who has been in the league since 2017, yet rushed in total for only 4,722 yards in 8 years which comes out to 570 yards average per season. Is that truly a solid RB2?

HIs total yards both for his career, and last year, is double that. He had 35 receptions for 366 yards out of the backfield last year, so as an RB2 he had 733 yards while averaging 4.8 per carry and 10.7 per reception. In 2021/2022 he had 3,200 combined rushing/receiving. He is a solid blocker. So, yes that would truly be a solid RB2.

He also had 594 yard in kickoff returns and was 2nd team all-pro as a kick returner last year.

All that and he missed 5 games in concussion protocol after a fairly nasty head shot during a kick return in the first meeting with us.

This year's coaching decisions, in total. seem acceptably workable to me; that's a plus!
It's also fairly unusual that the HC's staff seems better than his hire, itself . . . go figure!
Put them all together, things might possibly work out to be the best we've had in years!! :flagwave:
But, when push comes to shove, anything may happen, including a nightmare season!! :omg:

Or they went with the proven guy this time
Tashad Choice made $700000 Last year at Texas. Booger wasn't offering near that.

Tashad is also looking at another deep playoff run with Arch Manning.

Oregon guy was making more than Booger offered as well.

Can't blame those guys for making the best decision for themselves and their families.
I would do the same

You speaking off of assumption or do you know that THEY turned it down and the Dallas just didn't go with a more proven guy?
