It seems to me a prerequisite for the Ring should be the player's love for the Cowboys is equal to the team's love for him. I was disappointed to see the image of Mr. Ware's HoF display. If not a fake image and with no display of Cowboys gear, I'm very disappointed he's entering the Ring of Honor before Jimmy Johnson, who most definitely built the SB teams of the 90's.
Show me where the player is responsible for that before acting all self righteous.Agree.. that display was ridiculous and the Cowboys were an afterthought.
He didn't leave, he was kicked out and was livid about it. steve went right to his pals in the local media and said his career was over and could not play anymore. Denver signed him within minutes and he was dominant in a great post season run knocking out brady and the pats. That wasn't Ware's fault. He had to leave Dallas to get his ring.
Extremely valid question considering who has the only say so.I wonder if Romo or Witten go in before Jimmy? lol
Don't get it twisted, Jerry sold is soul for all 3 of them. It can't be a curse if you win one after Jimmy left. It would be a big fat zero 0Yea it is because it was Jimmy's team and that team was running on fumes by then. Jerry sold his soul for that SB and he isn't happy that most fans don't give him credit for it. Most don't even give Switzer any credit for it. lol
He deserves far more respect than he's getting in this thread. Yes, Jimmy Johnson deserves to be in, but this should be about Ware and what a great player he was. He earned his spot in the Hall and in the Ring. Congrats to a Cowboys great. On another more positive note. I’m happy for Ware. He deserves it. He was everything you want from a player on and off the field. I’m honored to see him play in person several times. Thanks #94!!!!
They need to do that every time someone is put into the ROH. Jerry has taken notice, but he’s not going to bow to anyone. If anything he’s become more defiant on the matter.Maybe get the crowd to chant “Jimmy” at the games to get Jerry to notice and correct this slight.
Troy coached the team to that Super Bowl from the huddle and sidelines. I'm not kidding when I say that Aikman rightfully was coach of the year for 1995.Because Switzer basically let the inmates run the asylum, and left Troy to keep everyone in line.
