What owner around the NFL gets the same credit as the HC? It's comically ridiculous and even Cowboy fans peddle that garbage. The never-ending search for this jackazzes credit.... it's earned not bought. And in 30 years since the divorce he made a mockery of this team.

It seems to me a prerequisite for the Ring should be the player's love for the Cowboys is equal to the team's love for him. I was disappointed to see the image of Mr. Ware's HoF display. If not a fake image and with no display of Cowboys gear, I'm very disappointed he's entering the Ring of Honor before Jimmy Johnson, who most definitely built the SB teams of the 90's.

Agree.. that display was ridiculous and the Cowboys were an afterthought.

That wasn't Ware's fault. He had to leave Dallas to get his ring.
He didn't leave, he was kicked out and was livid about it. steve went right to his pals in the local media and said his career was over and could not play anymore. Denver signed him within minutes and he was dominant in a great post season run knocking out brady and the pats.

why the jones's don't get grief for this speaks to how soft the media who covers this team is. They sure could have used him in lambeau in 2014.

Good for Ware but I hope Jerry continues to experience football failure till he kicks the bucket or he finally puts Jimmy in the ROH

Just a recap for everyone:

Over two years ago, Jerry Jones stated on national television, in front of Jimmy Johnson, Troy Aikman, Terry Bradshaw, etc., that Johnson was going into Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.

Today, Jones said DeMarcus Ware would go into the Ring.

Two questions (laughing my butt off)

1. Will Johnson or Ware go into the Ring first?

2. Does anyone believe the next Ring ceremony will happen before or after the November 12 home game versus the Giants? Trivia: Jones has announced and completed a past Ring ceremony within a three month span.

Like i said before, the ROH has lost its luster and prestige to me. ROH should be renamed FOJ. That's what it is.. Who has kissed Jerry's arse and is now life long friend of Jerry.? I really believe Jimmy knows this and could care less now, he is in the REAL HOF. The one that counts.

Yea it is because it was Jimmy's team and that team was running on fumes by then. Jerry sold his soul for that SB and he isn't happy that most fans don't give him credit for it. Most don't even give Switzer any credit for it. lol
Don't get it twisted, Jerry sold is soul for all 3 of them. It can't be a curse if you win one after Jimmy left. It would be a big fat zero 0

On another more positive note. I’m happy for Ware. He deserves it. He was everything you want from a player on and off the field. I’m honored to see him play in person several times. Thanks #94!!!!
He deserves far more respect than he's getting in this thread. Yes, Jimmy Johnson deserves to be in, but this should be about Ware and what a great player he was. He earned his spot in the Hall and in the Ring. Congrats to a Cowboys great.

Maybe get the crowd to chant “Jimmy” at the games to get Jerry to notice and correct this slight.
They need to do that every time someone is put into the ROH. Jerry has taken notice, but he’s not going to bow to anyone. If anything he’s become more defiant on the matter.
