Cowboys are Lifting the Floor not Raising Their Ceiling

Our problem has not been a blanket lack of talent, but a lack of talent in a few key areas.

We have had a lot of strong young talent, but then been completely devoid of talent in key positions like DT, RB, LB for example.

Which leads me to believe you can make a difference quickly. The problem is you have to recognize and address those issues and we've failed to do that in the past. It's the reason we can't get over the hump imo.
Among Jerry's many weaknesses, his biggest is personnel. He is absolutely incompetent at judging personnel, which includes team needs and draft picks. Who's the next straightline athlete he's going to hype up? Can anyone even explain why we were so impressed w/ Eric Scott? Reggie Robinson anyone?

If you can't turn, you can't play in the NFL. It is that simple.

Not really, fowler was a good signing, and some of the other guys may turn out to be good players.
So many signed with their own team, there wasnt much of value left.
Guys like metcalf , kupp, just are not worth what they got elsewhere.

I want to see how they do in the draft now.
9-8, here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you realize that the ENTIRE sports media is saying that Jerry's free agency is among the worst in the NFL?

Do you realize that the Cowboys (despite spending earlier than last season) are ranked the 28th lowest spending team in THIS FA period.

Maybe you should stop besmirching the character of the fans here when they are right about facts just because it's an inconvenient truth for you.

Rethink this praise you are lavishing on this FO because there's not a speck of evidence to support it.

BTW., I was able to communicate this message without attacking your character
Must read for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neither Kearse or Hooker were considered A level type FAs. They were fliers taken hoping they could get lucky. This is their model. Sign cheap guys and see if you get lucky and a couple hit. In our case, a small number hit, the vast majority just turn out to be JAGs. Hence why year after year most non-homers acknowledge our FA strategy continues to fail.

To pretend that their signing was like the Eagles signing a Saquon Barkley, for example, is kind of funny.
That is not what you were claiming. You have switched to this added complexity. You know what I think of that.

I think the Cowboys tried the old ruse of looking really busy while doing nothing to convince folks they are trying really hard.
I don’t think Jerry cares what folks think. He may try to sell you his vision but whether you buy it or not is irrelevant to him.

To me, this offseason is another example of churning the bottom of the roster using a different strategy and hoping to find a few players that stick. Jerry has shown time and again that he is not a believer in spending in FA. Like it or hate it, it is what it is.

I think Jerry’s team building strategy is simple. Find a few starters in the draft, count on improvement from existing players that needed development time, and churn the bottom of the roster in hopes of finding a few that stick.

Not what I would do but he never takes my calls.
