Cowboys are now looking at 2-5 square in the face

We’ve had a really easy schedule so far. A few winless teams, a few backup QBs. The Ravens are the only team that might make the playoffs.

The schedule gets much more difficult with 49ers, Seahawks, Rams, Jags, Eagles twice. You can’t go 2-3 in one of the easiest stretches of the season.

This game tonight was an unthinkable loss. 10 point fav at home against a reeling 0-4 team without their starting QB. We hadn’t lost a home game to a 0-4 team in over 50 years.

So now with 2 tougher road games coming up without the luxury of being 3-2 we are in a position needing to win in order to remain even an outlier playoff contender .

I understand the Packers and Egirls both at 2-2 currently have some struggles of their own to contend with but there’s no way in hell anyone can believe this team will turn around if fall to 2-5.

Yea, we have AZ and Indy following but I don’t believe there’s any team left we can consider a game we will win like we did tonight. Every game is losable with our defense.

With this defense we will likely lose more games than we’ll win. Unfortunately this devasting loss places our season at a major crossroads which this road trip will no doubt determine where we go from there. 2-5 pretty much places this season on life support and can begin striking the matches for a dumpster fire.
There is zero point in trying to figure out who they can beat who they can’t. This team and organization simply is trash that’s going nowhere. One of the worst coaching staffs in the league lead by the worst GM.

You can when you suck.

This is just another lesson you hardcore fans can learn from. The lesson is given every year by this team and often several times a year. So it's strange to continue seeing and hearing confidence posts and radio show hosts (105.3) glaze up the Cowboys.

The team that was boasted about all week just went 1-1 against 2 winless teams with a combined record of 0-7. They barely won the game they did. Let that sink in.

When the offense is on fire, penalties go their way, no turnovers, they are still 50/50 every week. The offense can't have perfect games every week. This isn't the 2007 Patriots.

Nothing more entertaining than watching the board immediately after a loss or win. When a win happens they are going to the Super Bowl and when a loss happens its time to tank for a pick.

The most likely scenario is that after next week they are 3-3 and maybe a game back of the Giants and right in the wild card mix setting them up well for the last 2/3 of the season.
What did you see last night that gives you the slightest bit of confidence that this team is going to win at Green Bay?

If we can lose to the buccs, we can lose to anybody. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't win again the whole way.

Earlier this week, people were mocking the Eagles offense at how bad they looked and then lost their best OT to retirement and traded off one of the interior OL.

Guess what? Even limited, that offense can clearly move the ball on this defense. If Tampa can do it, so can they. They are probably looking ahead to our game as an attempt to try to get right.

They are going to finish 6-11. Prepare yourself. I said 7-10 or 8 and 9 earlier but that was when I thought Parker would get better. The defense would get better. I don't think he will change anything and I don't think

There was one play last night that convinced me the Cowboys are in for a rough year. It was down at the Cowboys 1 yard line. Tampa was going for a TD. First down, Tampa runs Irving up the middle and he scores. 21-10. I noticed after the play the backup DTs were in the game. #92 was on the bench. So was #97. Seems to me, in that situation I was my best interior DL in the game. I like Ogbonnia but he is no QW.

This defense is so bad, so much worse than the talent on defense that I have to believe Parker is the problem. The bigger problem is there is no other defensive mind on the coaching staff to take over for him if he needs to be fired.

You started off telling the truth. Playing like that they can.

Then veered off into fantasy land. The Cowboys aren't losing out.

Team comes into Dallas with low expectations. That means no pressure. They play for each other because it’s all they realistically have to play for. The Bucs ambushed the Cowboys.

There’s another team playing this weekend. Injury riddled. Head coach on as hot a seat as Bowles is (was). Heavy underdogs. Low expectations, now. Playing for each other because it’s all they realistically have to play for. Need to hope the Jags don’t get ambushed.

The only game that I believe we should win is against the Titans. If we lose that one, then next April, the Jets are likely getting a top ten pick - which will be ours rather than the Packers.

I have seen Green Bay over the entire season. Meanwhile the season was more than one game. This team is what it is: they will lose the games they dont score 30 and win 90% of the ones they do which is why they will be 9-8 or 10-7 and either narrowly winning the division or taking a wild card spot.

I even think the Titans game is a toss-up right now.

Imagine if the Titans dont win a game before we play them and we lose.

Has the Cowboys ever lost two home games to winless teams in the same season?
