So then don’t lie to the fanbase and say you don’t spend in free agency because you build thru the draft. Only to not pay the best draft pick you’ve had in a decade. It makes 0 sense. 47 million for a DE is freaking bananas either way.

My list was nobody in the NFC East or the Packers or the Steelers or the 49ers that's it I would be OK with the Patriots and the Texans aren't really a rival at least it would have been in the AFC...

I get what you're saying but look I bet this was the best offer they can get how many teams have the resources that were in need of a pass rusher that they can pay $47 million to and give up two first round picks and their defensive tackle?

Only a team on the verge of being good that was one player away or they were already a playoff contender could afford to do this There were very few offers I bet because of how much he was going to cost.

I get it when I first saw it I said there's no way this is real because we thought 3 days ago these rumors about the Packers were fake we thought the rumors that David was asking for four years 200 million was fake I don't think any of it was fake now I truly believe they were asking for $50 million a year from Jerry.

It's a better deal for them because they're contenders possibly but this could be really good for us if they have an injury bug like we had last year or they're just not as good as they were going to be because maybe the Bears come on who else is in their division Is it the Lions I mean I don't remember but Either way if they have a bad year either this year or next then our first round pick goes up.

Her weakest position on the team was defensive tackle and nose tackle which I believe this guy is so yes I'm trying to make it feel better the Packers does make it feel like a gut punch At least we kinda saw this coming the Luka Doncic straight for me is a Mavericks fan we woke up one morning and it just he's a Laker of all teams he's a Laker and they didn't get enough for him...

I think that trade helped temper me a bit on this one because I was shocked on that one but this one we we sort of felt it coming even though we didn't think it was possible that Jerry would trade away his best defensive player in one of his superstars because he's never done it before....

Even when we won 12 games with Micah he vanished, got dominated in playoffs. Terrible against the run

Hasn’t missed a game for injury since 2020.
35 career sacks.
Pretty much ideal DT partner for Osa.
You got major salary cap boost by Packers eating all of Clark's signing bonuses.

You are not a great defense now, but you are very balanced with a ton of pass rush upside.

Again, this was a good trade that was handled poorly by Jerry and his need to be the main character.

I could care less about Micah's sacks last year when good teams didn't need to bother to pass because you were trash up the middle versus the run.
This addresses that is a big way.

I still have little faith in their late R1 draft abilities but on paper you are set up nicely to win this trade.
Certainly so, once cap hits are figured in.

Jerry got whipped by a great agent. I wonder what Mulugheta is sipping right now? Imagine the number of potential new clients he can expect. He’s drinking top shelf tonight. If he’s in Wisconsin he’s not even having to pay for it.

No doubt Micah is a stud pass rusher, but you have been adding top 60 draftee pash rushers every season for 3 years now.
Williams, Osa, Clark, Fowler is a lot better than most teams on 3rd down.

I just hope we can build a Super Bowl team because of this in the next few years, ideally before the Packers tie us and/or the Chiefs pass us. Because otherwise, this was a possible disaster.

In no way did they win this trade. Unless they spend that money in free agency and actually hit on late first round picks. Which hasn’t been their forte.

2 firsts and a player for Micah just isn’t enough.

Does hurt like hell I'll admit it but when looking at the contract he was probably demanding here which was $50 million a year II can see that it was a rumor just like we thought the Packers rumor was fake the rumor that they were demanding four years $200 million from Jerry Now I can believe it that was also true given that they got $47 million from the Packers I can see why they were would put the screws to Jerry..

It got ugly and this is the first time in the history of the Cowboys that Jerry Jones allowed one of his superstars to leave and it had to be the Packers I think that's what hurts the most but there's no way I would have been OK with them paying $47 million a year.. Let alone if the number was 50... That's the only reason this is feeling not so bad they got two 1st round picks they weren't great 1st round picks they got a defensive tackle and those tackle that's a Pro Bowler and we don't have to pay the $47 million a year..
