Contrary to popular belief Zimm hates Dallas because he was pissed when they went Wade instead of him

MM is about to be kept and the 2 coordinators will become HCs elsewhere. I have not been a MM his entire tenure here. He is a bad clock manager and game manager.

Lets compare MM and Dan Quinn in their HC career before Dallas.

In 6 years coaching Matt Ryan and the Falcons, Dan Quinn took them to 1 SB. They lost a close game to the Patriots.

In 13 years coaching Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, MM took GB to one SB. They won a close game against the Steelers.

In my mind, DQ had the harder task and less years. Any coach that has a top 3 QB all time for 13 years of his prime and went to one SB is a failure in my mind.

Fire MM and keep DQ as our HC.

It won’t be because of him. I think what’s going to hurt this week is our LB’s. Our lack of LB’s I should say.
what????? SO IF WE PLAY GREAT HE GETS ALL THE CREDIOT... HE IS amazing, RIGHT?

bUT IF WE GET STOMPED, IT WONT BE BECAUSE OF HIM????

How do you know, he might prefer being a defensive coordinator for the Cowboys more than a head coach..
It all depends on what Quinn wants.

Sounds like Jerry is ready to open his wallet to keep him. So if he is happy in his current role he will be well compensated

If Quinn is determined to get back as a HC, then no amount of Jerry's money will keep him in Dallas. There will be opportunities elsewhere

If Quinn walks, you can bring in Vic Fangio as DC. He's one of the best in the business

I like keeping him around. As soon as any coach gets a bit of positive momentum going, heading for the exit is not a good look, nor is it good for the team that hired you. Stick around. Build a legacy... what's wrong with that?

Is Don Shula a failure? He had Marino and only went to 1 SB with him.

I have absolutely no knowledge about what motivates Quinn. Being the top dog appeals to alpha personalities even more than compensation usually. And it's not like any HC job is going to be offering him chump change.

With so many new HC positions it might be hard. If it were just a few crappy ones like the Jags, not so much but I am sure there is a team or two that would be intriguing to Dan.
Denver and Miami might be interesting. Not sure who the Denver QB is though.

100%....too many openings, 70/20 he's as good as gone IMO.

Not everyone is a follower like yourself, some guys want to be leaders of teams. not just coordinators. I understand that you don't get that kind of mentality.
He's failed miserably at head coaching. Most likely best to remain a coordinator and rebuild his resume for a few more years before trying a head coaching gig once more. You wouldn't understand this.

Are you saying that I wouldn't understand failing miserable, but you would?

You didn't think that one through before you hit post reply, did ya?

Quinn isn't going to just take a job because he wants to be a head coach, he's going to be selective and want to make sure the organization that wants him has a starting quarterback, some talent and draft picks and input to what type of players he wants....sometimes it's better to wait a year and then there might be better options for him....
