Basically what you're asking is if Dallas beats Detroit and Washington, and San Francisco and Philadelphia both lose their remaining games, does Dallas suddenly become a great team?

No. Great teams control their own destinies. Dallas does not. That home field advantage sure would be nice, though.
The Eagles only have to lose 1.

Saying this team is better at home is overstating the obvious, but it’s not as if it guarantees anything.

This is the organization that has blown two one seeds in game one.

Two weeks of hearing how great they are doesnt seem to work out well.

No, Phi needs to lose once more than we do.
If Philly loses one more game than Dallas, then they‘ll both have identical records. What am I missing here? Wouldn’t they specifically have to lose the last Giants game?

Dallas would win based on conference record.

So, this is what a 2 point loss at Miami does to you. You guys are hilarious.
No, it’s the 28 years and counting of playoff irrelevance. You know, “the big picture”. It never had to be this way. But the fuhrer do what the fuhrer do.

The big picture is that we have a good team now and could win now. It's an exciting season. I love it.

Have you considered that they are only signing a couple of bottom tier free agents away though?

That’s true. And I’d add our home record is dictated more by our opponents .

If we had SF, Mia and Buff at home/away record would most likely be different and this narrative would be null and void .

I would add though despite losing both times we were top seed this era history would prove that being a top seed with playoff games at home is a decided advantage on the average and why teams strive to win division and better records.

Belief isn’t a commodity other than one attempting to promote a product.

All teams believe they can win. Fans aren’t required to have belief .

But for most fans belief is usually built around a team that’s been there before.
Back in the 70's...back in the 90's I was a homer. I believed we would win every week. Seems like a lifetime ago.

Look how Lions are celebrating first division title in 30 years .

Cowboys should be celebrating first time in 30 years with 3 consecutive playoff appearances .

That’s how mediocre franchises operate . But for some reason Cowboy fans think they have a greater franchise this era. We don’t . We suk in comparison to the more successful franchises .
It's because Jerry makes it sound like we are more successful than we are.
