I am liking the Cowboys going in...that Giants game must have given them a big boost. Still not sold on the Defense...but feel good about the club overall. The offense should, and will need to be, better for this matchup.

Well according to the Denver forum, we're all delusional for thinking a team that went 13-2 last season has a chance to win. Apparently the Denver defense is waaaaay better than the Giants defense.

Those Denver fans are nuts across the board. And surprisingly kind of clueless.

Denver is a good battle tested team playing at home. That means anything can happen here regardless of how the individual matchups look on paper.

With that being said I think their style of play is tailor-made for how the Cowboys like to play football. They want to run effectively to take the pressure off of Siemian. This team excels in stopping the run first. In the passing game they like to get rid of the ball quickly usually to the QBs first read. I love our LBs against their underneath stuff here.

On defense their weakness has been holding up against the run. They've added some pieces designed to improve that facet of their game and they did play better against the Chargers. The Chargers are not Dallas in this area however. Obviously, what they really like to do is get after the QB. While this should be a major concern for every team they face including the Cowboys, the Dallas OL is built for teams who specialize in terrorizing teams with their pass rush.

Very nice, well thought out, logical post. Well done sir.

Has Denver been a threat lately with Trevor Siemian as their qb? But according to blog Miles High Report, they think he is better than Dak.

yes, as i remember he has won some game for them and now has a new head coach.

I'll take my chances with a 59% passer, a guy who gets just as many ints as tds. Still can't stop laughing at Miles High Report, 1 writer saying only advantage we have is at RB and OL. Their TE's are no where near Witten, or even a combined Witten, Hannah and Swaim. They have only 2 good wr's. Yet that same writer has them over Dez, TWill (I think he plays, was at practice Friday), Beasley, Butler and our unused weapon Switzer.

im not saying we are losing to them, i am saying if the Bronco fans want to say Denver has been more successful than the Cowboys lately, hard to argue that point. By no means do i think its going to help them Sunday, but whatever, if they want to talk have at it.

and another HC as well, but they can say it. thats all im saying. Is it helping them today? who knows we think having some ex players at our place helps out team. i dont believe in it fully, but some fans do.

im not going to argue the reality that it doesnt help them, but lately they have seen places we havent.

I think it still comes down to the QB's and I like ours more than theirs. Dez will probably get frustrated again with Aquib and take himself mentally out of the game. Special teams may bend in their favor we have not shown much of a return game.

I think this comes down to zeke running the ball and then scoring tds instead of field goals. 24'points wins this one.

not arguing that our QB will see places theirs wont either. but it is what it is.

Well the good news is their so called d hasn't seen Dak, Zeke, our OL, and all the young talent we have added on both sides of the ball. They have no idea how good this team is or will become when we get everybody back from suspension/injury.
