run defense for the backups looked good. Pass defense not so much. I believe at one point in time Johnson completed 11 straight passes with at least 1 being a touchdown.

Also, wright doesn't look like a corner at least not a man corner. He is a zone guy. Doesn't look like he has the hips for man coverage. Might be better at FS.

Yards per carry and pass protection are the only two things you really want to see in a preseason game. Because the coverage on the backside of a defense is so vanilla that you really can judge how well the passing game performed.

So winning in the trenches should be the big take away from any preseason game.

Let’s not kid anyone here. Last night was embarrassing

Note to self...

"Be very concerned if the 22 guys who started the game vs. Denver in the preseason are the 22 starters in a game during the regular season."

Its wasnt pretty but again with only 6 full practices and Many players who will not be on the roster come game 1...its gonna look like they have not played together AND a penalty fest..There were some great plays by individuals that showed they have talent and some good looks on the Dline. Again anyone who even looks at the scoreboard of one of these games is missing the point of them...whatch the individual player to see if they have enough talent to beat the other 3rd string guy so thy can move up on the depth chart...

Wow!

A rational take on this...

Front 7 will be good.

Addition by subtraction with Gregory, who was a speed bump in the run game and disappeared when it mattered.

This could low-key be the most important take away from the Denver game for the Cowboys.

It means Gallimore and Bohanna can make a nice 1, 2 punch combo to stop the run.

I think the Cowboys were testing this theory. And I think we're in for a surprise with the defense this year.

If we can just cut down on penalties and consistently stop the run this year, we'll be a much better team.

Yeah,

I think what Bohanna and Gallimore did was a good indicator that our interior linemen group could have had a really good offseason. I'm really hoping that that is the case.

Gallimore actually looked like a stud out there.
