Or maybe one of the Hardy boys.
Or the guy that hangs out with Laurel.

You're really on a roll here, aren't you?Or maybe one of the Hardy boys.
IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys released defensive linemen Corvey Irvin and Everette Brown and offensive linemen Ray Dominguez and Jeff Olson on Friday, freeing up less than $1 million against the cap.
As the Cowboys work to get into compliance with the league’s salary cap, they’re starting by tossing an umbrella overboard rather than rearranging the deck chairs.
According to Adam Caplan of ESPN, the Cowboys will release defensive end Everette Brown.

meanwhile, The Eagles extend key players w/o having to restructure....nice to have cap management.

I admire what the Eagles do.
They disregard something that Jerry loves, which Stephen Jones has to work around, and that's the older player. Eagles extend guys when they're young, but once they get 30ish... Out they go. Jerry loves his players and wouldn't think twice about extending a 30+ guy for big dollars. It straps the system. Jerry's like the little kid that dumps his cereal bowl on the floor and then Stephen Jones has to clean up the mess.

The eagles have won something doing this?
No... And that's a good point, but the Eagles seem to have the more stable organization if perception has any merit.
What the Eagles haven't been good at over the last few years is drafting. Their draft record has been poor. But that has nothing to do with their handling of older player contracts. You can do well in one area and stink in another.
Stable? No, When you have a ex coaches son at TC and commits suicide, a WR who just signed a deal in 2013 and already wants a new one. Eagles played a really weak 2nd half schedule. If it wasnt for the Dallas defense, the Philly defense wouldve been the worst in the NFL. They are in the same spot as Dallas. they are one yr removed from the QB saying they were the dream team. If there is a team who is more overrated by media then Dallas its def Philly.
The next few that will be gone will be
Corvey Irvin
Frank Kearse
Orie Lemon
Marlez Wilson
IMO, this is not a salary cap cut. Under the rule of 51 only the top 51 contracts count against the cap. The savings from cutting a minimum wage guy like Brown is minimal. There will likely be many minimum wage veterans on the 90 man TC roster many of which will have higher salaries than Brown. Also, only draft picks drafted after about the 5th round will have lower salaries than Brown. As the Cowboys work to get into compliance with the league’s salary cap, they’re starting by tossing an umbrella overboard rather than rearranging the deck chairs.

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Not Everette Brown. If we cut Ben Bass, then we might as well kiss the season goodbye.
