I admire what the Eagles do.

They disregard something that Jerry loves, which Stephen Jones has to work around, and that's the older player. Eagles extend guys when they're young, but once they get 30ish... Out they go. Jerry loves his players and wouldn't think twice about extending a 30+ guy for big dollars. It straps the system. Jerry's like the little kid that dumps his cereal bowl on the floor and then Stephen Jones has to clean up the mess.

We got some, but to your point.........who were you wanting/expecting to be cut? Please don't say Austin or Ware because even you has to know those will be later in the process.

Don't we have to be under the cap by March 11th, the first day of the new league year?

That's like 10 days from now, why would we wait till later to cut Austin or Ware? How else are we going to trim $15 to $18 million off the cap without doing anything to those guy's contracts?

Serious question, maybe I have it all wrong on how the cap works.

Austin will be designated a June 1st cut or cut outright. That's a guarantee.

Also, there are an estimated 20 or so posts explaining exactly how we could get under the cap, and that was before it was raised. If you were actually inclined to be educated on the topic you could have by now. No one's going to respond to that question because you wouldn't read it anyway.

The report is misleading. I'm sure they didn't make these cuts because of the cap ramifications. There should not have been any reference to the cap when announcing that these players were cut.

Teams were cutting fringe player long before there was a salary cap.

Stable? No, When you have a ex coaches son at TC and commits suicide, a WR who just signed a deal in 2013 and already wants a new one. Eagles played a really weak 2nd half schedule. If it wasnt for the Dallas defense, the Philly defense wouldve been the worst in the NFL. They are in the same spot as Dallas. they are one yr removed from the QB saying they were the dream team. If there is a team who is more overrated by media then Dallas its def Philly.

This is exactly why next season they won't make the playoffs. Overhyped. Very overhyped. Foles is OK in my opinion. Not great. above average.

The team was made to look good based off playing the divisional games. Plus they barely got by Mr.Orton and company.

Of all the posters around here- I would have thought you knew more about the cap than apparently you... do.
Austin's gone- that's a 90% certainty, but he needs to be a June 1st cut. Which means his money does not come off the books until... wait for it... JUNE 1ST!

Ware is a whole different can of worms, but you HAVE to know what a June 1st cut is by now and the difference between cutting a player now and then... After the hundreds of posts about it in tens, maybe hundreds of threads.

Don't make me lose faith in your posting...
