He has a 10MM base and also has a 15MM option bonus due just this year.

Jerry ain’t paying that.

The guaranteed money is an issue for Miami since it's money already paid, they can't get out of it. His base rate has only been like 5 million total the last 3 years, but he's physically been paid just over 80 million.

Would be brutal for them to get out of that contract. The team trading for him I believe would only be on the hook for his base salary much like the Cooper trade (they had his remaining 3 years base rate with no guaranteed since the previous team already physically paid the guaranteed/signing bonus portion)

Yup.

What would it cost for a team to trade for Tyreek Hill?

A team trading for Hill could take on all of his 2025 guaranteed compensation; $1 million roster bonus in mid-March 2025, a $15.85 million option bonus, and his $10 million base salary. That’s $26.85 million owed to Hill in fully guaranteed money.

If I were the new team, I would make the Dolphins pay his $1 million roster bonus in March and take on his $15.85 million roster bonus. That would leave me with just $10 million in base salary plus $1.8 million in potential per-game roster bonuses to pay Hill for 2025.

At less than $12 million for Hill, I’d be willing to work out a deal for the receiver. Nothing is guaranteed in the contract beyond 2025. This would probably net a nice draft pick on Day 2 or Day 3 of the 2025
