The reason why is that Huff will lose money as free agency goes on, he would rather make more cash now!

I think the real reason is that he did not like the numbers he was hearing from Dallas. He probably thinks he is worth more money than he really is. He has been an average to good safety his whole career but wants to get paid like a great safety. Al Davis probably whispered sweet nothings in his ear and now he thinks he is better than he really is.

While true, I believe Dallas wants more of a cover S.

No doubt, I agree with that 100%. I'm just saying, whether a player is listed as a FS or SS doesn't equate to their coverage ability.

Traditional thinking is the FS can cover, the SS can support the run. In today's NFL they have to do both, but most important, cover.

That was a given to me, broke team will not pay out much regardless.
