Wasnt like any of these Cowboy QBs were running for their lives this year.

That's cool, but we're also near the bottom in pass attempts so they would need to break that down some more to make it more meaningful.
Beat me to it. All of those teams are near the bottom of the league in pass attempts.

These are QB with at least 200 dropbacks.

% of dropbacks with pressure, 2015
1 Bridgewater 47.3%
2 Manziel 43.9%
3 Wilson 42.5%
4 Palmer 42.2%
5 Foles 41.0%

28 Cassel 32.0%

Last year, Wilson was 1st with 46.0% and Romo was 34th at 28.5% (PFF).

Cassel is the only QB in the league (minimum 200 dropbacks) who ranks in the bottom 10 in pressures and the top 10 in average time from snap until pass attempt. In other words, the lack of pressures was not at all due to Cassel getting rid of the ball quickly.

Avg time to pass attempt
1 Taylor 2.86
2 Manziel 2.85
3 Bridgewater 2.78
4 Rodgers 2.69
5 Luck 2.67
6 Wilson 2.65
7 Winston 2.62
8 Bortles 2.61
9 Newton 2.61
10 Cassel 2.56

These quarterbacks never used the protection they did have to make plays. They were way to quick to resort to the checkdown.

Cassel had success the first game and so did Moore because they passed the ball to receivers who were getting open.

Am I reading this right? These are the QB's who are holding on to the ball too long and yet it's only 2.86 seconds ? I would have thought they had at least 4 seconds. 2.5 seconds gives you like a 2 step drop.

2.5 seconds is almost exactly the league average for a pass attempt. Dalton, Brady, and Manning average(d) under 2.3 seconds this season.

You can tell he cannot read a defense because he has blind spots on the field.
