For the first time since the last of six in a row in 1996.

Yes, it’s been that long since Dallas has put together back to back double digit win seasons.

That was the year after the last time Dallas made it as far as the Championship game.

Cowboys are also in position to make the playoffs in consecutive seasons for first time since 2006-07 seasons.

No wonder with these type of droughts of consistency in the playoffs and success this has been such a frustrating and disappointing era.

How many double digit win teams did this guy squander?

The team is rolling right now and it’s awesome.

Although I’m still cautiously optimistic due to recent past heartbreaks.

The FO’s plan to continue to build a team through the draft and pick up low cost veterans along the way finally seems to paying off.

I should add:
Dan Quinn’s gets all the praise (rightfully so)

Mike McCarthy needs more flowers for being the steadfast HC that manages all the alpha’s in the room (unlike Garrett)

..But the true MVP on the team (in my opinion) is Will McClay. Without Will and his masterful talent evaluations, I can’t imagine where this team would be.

Having back to back playoff seasons and back to back 10 wins or more seasons brings with it “organizational momentum”- something the Cowboys haven’t had since the 90s. Organizational momentum gives a team confidence and consistency which are benchmarks for contenders.

The Cowboys still have to win multiple playoff games to be a true contender. Remains to be seen if this team can cross that threshold. But I have more hope for that than I’ve had in many years.

Every now and then, I’ll sporadically get upset that we wasted Romo’s career with this guy as his OC.
I don’t think Garrett as his OC was the issue. In Romo’s time, all the way back to Parcells and Wade before Garrett, Romo was surrounded by a good OL, a Solid if not spectacular run game, a HOF TE and star WRs. He didn’t put up his gaudy statistics with bad OCs. The problem throughout Romo’s career and most of Dak’s, has been Jerry’s overspending on offense and lack of competent defenses. We haven’t had a decent defense in decades until this season, which started last season.

Even as far as the Super Bowl......

Maybe BigMac isn't as bad as people say he is.

There's not too much to complain about when our team is making half time adjustments and actually exposing other teams weaknesses. The old regime was so stubborn, we suffered thru Monte Kiffin, Rex Ryan, Marinelli and even Mike Nolan.

Mike Mccarthy is the best coach we've had since Bill Parcells, that's why.

It blows my mind people don't like him.

It isn't disappointing right now in the present. It is exciting because they are very good and have the best player in the league. They are young with excellent depth. They are fun to watch.
