For the first time since the last of six in a row in 1996.

Yes, it’s been that long since Dallas has put together back to back double digit win seasons.

That was the year after the last time Dallas made it as far as the Championship game.

Cowboys are also in position to make the playoffs in consecutive seasons for first time since 2006-07 seasons.

No wonder with these type of droughts of consistency in the playoffs and success this has been such a frustrating and disappointing era.
It's a nice regular season stat but to be fair, stats like this are not relevant in a 17 game world
Any team that previously won 9 would have, more often than not by the averages, won 10 in 17 game season;

The Cowboys should win 12 or more in consecutive seasons and have a good shot at doing it again next year.

The team is rolling right now and it’s awesome.

Although I’m still cautiously optimistic due to recent past heartbreaks.

The FO’s plan to continue to build a team through the draft and pick up low cost veterans along the way finally seems to paying off.

I should add:
Dan Quinn’s gets all the praise (rightfully so)

Mike McCarthy needs more flowers for being the steadfast HC that manages all the alpha’s in the room (unlike Garrett)

..But the true MVP on the team (in my opinion) is Will McClay. Without Will and his masterful talent evaluations, I can’t imagine where this team would be.
Can I give you 1000 likes???

Right on the money with that take.

How many double digit win teams did this guy squander?

This is probably the biggest indictment on why Jerry should not be the GM.
He loses all objectivity when he gets to emotionally invested in a player or coach and keeps them way past when they should be replaced.
Garrett is exhibit number one.
I am really curious how Jerry is going to handle the tough decision with Zeke this off season.

What a depressing stat. Almost as bad as our Conference Championship appearance drought. Especially for all of us who lived through so many dynasties.

No wonder so many of us, the media and other team’s fans are cynical about the team’s Playoff chances and prospects every year.

But just want to point out this is a different team. Better coaching, better depth, better rounded on both sides of the ball and special teams…. and hopefully.. more consistent and clutch! I want to see a team tomorrow that doesn’t play to the Texans level. I want to see that 17 point spread destroyed!

I’d also like to know what was the last Boys Roster to have a spread this big?

Looked and didn’t see it. Oh well, a stat so depressing it deserves an encore.
It’s not a depressing stat. Back to back 10 win seasons is a good thing. It doesn’t have to be a thread about the last 27 years. Don’t we have enough of those?

It’s like having a great season at 9-3 but we would rather cry about the 3 losses.

I guess I'll repeat the obvious. Good stuff, but we are now playing 17 game schedules. Apples and oranges

So, statistically speaking, with a 17 game season they probably would've done it some or all of
2005-2006
2006-2007
2007-2008
2008-2009
2016-2017
2017-2018

The good news, as someone pointed out, is that this might be 12+ wins back to back anyway

Since they haven't played all 17 games yet, I'd say it's apples to apples, unless they lose all but the last game remaining.
