It is unlikely, but not beyond possibility, for the Cowboys to get two home games in these playoffs.

Wildcard Round
1. Cowboys win @Tampa - Cowboys have to win their first playoff game on the road.
2. Giants win @ Minnesota - The Giants lost a one score game to the Vikings last month. It is certainly possible they might win a rematch.
3. Seahawks win @ 49ers - To many, the 49ers should win easily. But this is another division rivalry game, and they are always subject to surprises, as when the Giants won in 2007 after losing to the Cowboys twice in the regular season, or when the only game the 1-15 Cowboys won in 1989 was against division rival Washington.

Divisional Round
1. Seahawks win @ Philadelphia - the Eagles are banged up, and could be vulnerable to an upset.
2. Giants lose @ Dallas - the Cowboys will host a playoff game if all the wildcard teams win this coming weekend.

Championship Round
1. Cowboys host Seahawks in NFC Championship game.

That would be cool to see. Plus, it gives Quinn a fun matchup against his old team.

Thanks, Nate, but I think we are aware of how the playoffs work. :muttley:

I get what you're saying, but a ticket is $2. That's a soda.
Yes... $2 a week is $100 in the annual math tax, and 2 tickets a week is $200.... Certainly could be used elsewhere, right?... Good name, by the way.

Thanks. You too!...most people don't buy one unless the lotto is huge. So that's assuming a lot. You could apply it to a lot of things...soda for example. Personally I'd rather throw 2 bucks at a lotto ticket a few times a year than a soda or a coffee. It's their money though, do with it what they want.

Not a bet I am making.
Me either…but I could totally see it happening. NY is scrappy and Minny is temperamental. SF has owned Seattle badly all year but we owned the NY 2x in 2007 during the regular season too.
Sadly, the part I have the hardest time buying is is beating Tampa.

Sure, I hear ya... As a math teacher, though, I'd have to turn in my credentials, if I ever bought one for myself.

Jumbo, I appreciate the positivity. But It’s probably more likely that Jerry admits he’s the biggest problem the last three decades and steps aside than seeing the Cowboys host two home playoff games. Of all those scenarios, I do think it’s possible the giants win this weekend. The Vikings are probably the 6th best team in the NFC. But I can’t see Sea winning in SF.

You mean the math tax, for those that don't understand certainty of losing money in the lottery....

( No offense to anyone who plays the lottery, but think it over... You'd do much better spending your money on a business idea, product or service you've been thinking about)

Alot of people don't want to put in that effort, who cares it's a few bucks. If people took the time to understand the monetary system there would be a revolt over night. Banks and the FED get to create money out of thin air while you go do your 40 hour a week job.

Since the Cowboys play in the last game of the opening round, we CZers will know if Nos. 2 & 3 of your possible wildcard scenarios came to fruition.

I actually think the first two are going to happen.

Seahawks at Niners could happen. There’s the beating a team three time factor in play here. Not likely, but not impossible, and it clearly makes a MASSIVE difference for our purpose….which is why I was rooting for Detroit for that spot, because all considered, they are probably better than Seattle.

Even if Seattle doesn’t go on to beat Philly, them beating SF would allow us that second round home game, which would really help.
For Real, its happened to the cowboys a couple of times (of course).....in '98 chan gailey's first year, after beating then their division rivals cardinals twice in season, had home game against them in first round and lost....cardinals dominated defensively........in '07, the romo T.O. big comeout year, boys man handled giants in regular season only to loose at home after the 'bye' week....giants defense not only slowed the boys but carried them all the way through the Patriots upset.....wouldnt be shocked if seattle upsets whiners with mr. irrelavant.....

How bout some baby steps here....Let's just get to 4 points against Tampa first, one more than the first time we played them.
