I don’t think there’s some conspiracy but factoring in the gambling scandals and how poor officiating is I certainly can see the argument.
The highest rated highest rated playoff game ever was the 2023 AFC Championship between the Bengals and Chiefs at 53.1 million. The Dallas/KC game drew 57.2 million so it had more viewers than any regular season or playoff game. The only game it can’t compete with is the Super Bowl but the SB also has a huge international audience boosting the ratings numbers.
If officiating is already so poor how would you tell a gambling scandal from an official just being poor? Does one just guess "scandal" for every negative thing that happens to their team in a game? Sure seems like it. Not the best way to live but their choice.
It’s widely regarded this year is one of the worst officiated seasons in a long time. Now as a Cowboy fan? I think we’ve had favorable officiating especially during this streak.
