Cowboys closing on deal with Cooper Kupp

Interesting that he hasn't signed yet. It's looking like 14 or 15 could be the price.
Yeah sounds likely, unfortunately his production over the last two years has juat dropped so much or thay would be a good number

Get crackin on Lockett. We need a deep threat to take the top off, and we can draft a starting caliber WR to compete with him and add depth.

Kupp sounds like damaged goods at this point, and he is trying to milk one last payday before he hangs em up (don’t blame him).

this FO isn't going to win a bidding war for Kupp, I'm not sure it's a good move for us to begin with.
I think it would be a good move with their current cap situation and where the team is right now. They can do it.

I think he’s a great fit for Dak.
He’s one of the best at getting separation, and that’s exactly what Dak needs.
I keep hearing the Cowboys need a speed WR, which is fine if talking about separation, but not if talking about a deep threat. Being open deep doesn’t mean much if your QB can’t throw a deep ball.

Kupp hasn't gotten separation in the last two seasons.

Hard pass on this guy. not even for a 1 year deal. He's got 11 ypc for 700 yards and 2 TDs written all over him. Man is turbo-washed.

And if McVay can’t scheme him open with Puca demanding all the attention— then you know there is a problem. A big one.

You guys saying the Cowboys are out dont realize we were never in....this was all just a ratings / click bait ploy to get more attention in the offseason...it's fine, just need to realize this was never a possibility
Most likely. I'm not getting my hopes up. I want to see change, but after 13 years of the same free agent game plan, I see no reason to believe it. It isn't like we haven't been linked by media to expensive FAs before.

Yet NFL.com has him listed as a top 20 WR in separation rates. The data on this stuff is all over the place. They really need to get better definition and tracking methodology before on these open/separation stats before we take them too serious.

When Kupp did play last year I really struggle to see how he put us as good of numbers as he did while being that bad at actually getting open.

He had 67 catches for 710 yards and 6 TDs last year playing in 13 games, so it's not like he wasn't a major contributor.

Our No. 2 last year had 26 for 256 and 3 in 10 games.

The major issue with Kupp now, and the reason LA moved on, is he can't stay healthy for a full season.

I'm out if it's anything over 10 per. Id be trying to get Lockett. He's cheaper, he's healthier more than likely. Plus he gives us a slot guy with speed and quick.
