Well regardless of who the HC is we better have some strong coordinators.

Some would say thats the secret to success. No shortage of people said that on game day when it came to Jimmy having Norv and the DC's.

We heard it all the time here how BP couldnt win jack without his old coordinators either.

Some are even starting to say it about the NE guy now too. Course gettin 38 or whatever hung on you will do that.

I honestly hope that one day Jason Garrett gets a shot at HC. I have always liked and respected him. It's why I wish for him to come here. The future.

If it is a promotion, they can't stop him. In other words, he's the Miami QB Coach. If we offer him the QB Coach job Miami doesn't have to allow him to leave. If we offer him the OC position he can.

Maybe Adam can clear this up but I got this from my local paper (The Tennessean) . It's a couple months old and its the newspaper edition So I'll type it in.

"It is becoming more and more common in the NFL for teams to hire an assistant head coach. In the past, it was a way to prevent other teams from stealing assistant coaches who were allowed to leave provided they were receiving a promotion. Being an assistant head coach would mean the only job he could leave for would be head coach with another team.

The NFL has since rewritten the promotion rule to allow only assistant coaches who are seeking head coaching jobs the opportunity to leave while under contract."
