I think you would be hard pressed to prove bias without knowing the situation of each case as well as the percentage rate of custody awarded by male judges.
It's almost as if people automatically conclude that because she is a woman, she has bias towards women.
Or maybe you know something about her case history that we don't.

She has been called out by media and other groups in NC because she does not give custody to aunts, uncles, fathers, grand parents, even when they have more to offer than the mother.

Uh, not true. Charges were dropped because the victim would not cooperate. In fact, she disappeared. Now you may argue that the prosecution's evidence was still shaky. But without being able to interview her a second time to discuss the case with her, then they had to drop it.

This is nonsense and the facts have been posted here a hundred times, going back to January. The acussor worked in the same place for months afterward, she didn't "disappear". When she traveled she posted it on Facebook, this wasn't Jimmy Hoffa disappearing.

Prosecutors go to trial all the time in a DV case where the sole witness isn't available. In this case the Prosecutor would have to stand by the "evidence", which in this case was either Holder's sworn police statement or her sworn testimony at the hearing. Those two things completely contradicted each other and would get torn apart in a jury trial, which is why the DA dropped all charges.

If the situation was what you describe, the DA would have taken a plea bargain deal. In this case he didn't even attempt that because he had no case whatsoever.

You can't just omit a critical piece of information and say the prosecution had zero chance of getting a conviction. You don't know what conclusion the jury would have reached had the case gone to trial.

OK, lets use an analogy. A cocktail waitress accuses Tony Romo of being a member of the terrorist group ISIS.

The cocktail waitress give two sworn statements that completely contradict each other, admits she was on drugs at the time of the first sworn statement and physically attacked Romo a few days prior to the first statement before being restrained by security guards.

Does Tony Romo get convicted by a jury? I'll give you a hint, it doesn't ever go to trial because no DA is that stupid.

I did not say I believed him but reading what he and some others have said lets me know there is probably much more to the story. We may never know exactly what happened. Personally, I would not want a guy who actually did what Hardy was accused of on the team but seeing how the charges were dismissed it leads to questions. I expect there is and sincerely hope there is more to the story than Hardy paying the woman off not to testify. Like I said I have not had the time to read much about the situation like I would have when I was younger and if it wasn't for the alert feature on this forum I would probably never seen your post as I rarely read through long threads.

Well from what I read, she came into some money, she has been traveling all over the country , shopping and having a blast and tweeting online.
So she evidently was paid off possibly a million or 2.
She is perfectly happy with the results, and this wasnt really a ordinary type DV case.
But the NFL is just trying to make examples, and curb this behavior and also to look like they are doing enough for their image.
they need the TV contracts, and sponsors were unhappy with all this that popped up last year.
The ray rice video was the killer and that is why no owners are giving him a job.
They may have privately agreed to let him sit out for certain time or permanently.

Has he ever been convicted? I remember that he was able to prove one of the allegations completely false because of a home video security system.

He is on the downside of his career so teams probably won't sign him anyway.

You don't have to be convicted of a crime to be punished for conduct detrimental.

I'd think a couple of week but have no idea. Two game suspension would be sweet

So he misses a few more OTAs.

Not a big loss.

The NFL is in trouble here just like it is with Deflate-gate and Ray Rice.

The NFLPA is pretty powerful and they are going to remember all this turmoil the last couple of years and the owners inability to compromise and the Commish making so many grievous errors in the way of suspensions and then reversals. The next labor agreement and TV contract ratification is going to be brutal for the owners.

I suspect an eminent strike coming if things don't change soon for the better for the players. All these issues about concussions, non-prescription strong painkillers being made available to players thru the trainers for free and players leaving the league addicted to drugs, etc. It's a complete mess in that league and the players know it but are afraid to say much because they are afraid they will lose their pensions after football if they do or jeopardize the current pensions to already retired players.

Like what just happened to FIFA has to have the NFL freaking out.

Best to throw this out of public opinion. None of this passes the smell test. Something is wrong with the soup.

Keep this thread on the tracks or it will be closed or moved. It is not a rehash of OJ or the court case on Hardy.

This one gave me a good laugh......and the sad part is, there was a hint of truth and belief behind your sarcasm.....as we could honestly see this happening with how the NFL has been so anti-Cowboy over the last decade or so.

Obviously, Hardy got 10 games and was cleared by the legal system.

I was actually just curious if he has been convicted.

Thread is closed. If you want to continue to discuss the Hardy court case etc. There are two open posts in the rantzone. For those who feel free to continue to post after being told to stop,I would suggest a change in thought process before it causes you to be benched.
