Kelvin Joseph in same sentence with "killz" is too on the nose.

And not in a positive way.

Jimmy Johnson built a multi-super-bowl defense predicated on leopard-cat speed. He approves this message. I swear I felt his breath on my neck while typing up this post.

- Micah Parsons is one of the fastest defenders in the league (4.39). And, LOL, Micah's no little-man corner or safety! (Speed killz.)

- Sam Williams is perhaps amongst three fastest 260 pound battleships in the galactic federation (4.46) (Speed killz.)

- Anthony Brown --he's so better than some clowns acknowledge- flashes electric speed you aren't keeping up with (4.35) (Speed killz.)

-Kelvin Joseph was one of the fastest in his draft class (4.35) (Speed killz, but then so does stupidity.)

- Stefon Diggs (4.46), Donovan Wilson (4.5), Kearse (4.6), aren't positionally elite in speed, but they ain't no slouch. LVE was top 20% of his class in speed.

-And then what landed in our lap from Planet Krypton? A speed-superman in the 5th round?!? Can Damone Clark out-run Micah? Early reports indicate: maybe!? (Speed killz.)

Love it. The 2022 Death Machine!! Way better than Hot boyz. Most people won't know the reference to Hot Boyz. It doesn't work.

I totally agree with you on Anthony Brown.

Also, you have to give Joseph time. He's playing behind Brown.

I learned to draft speed from Jimmy.

Recruit playmakers and football players from Parcells.

And get brains and athletes you can develop from Landry.

…. I learned how to eat hot dogs on the sidelines from Switzer.

If they have so much speed, why do I see RB's running down the field so many times?

Excluding garbage time, we really don't see it so often.

And if Sam Williams and Damone Clark can add experience and maturity to their insane speed...look out!

Death Machines dont give up 200 yards rushing.

I have no clue why you would and why you would say this. The defense is awesome and gives them a chance to win each and every game.

Speed is great, and swarming to the ball is great. But it leaves a defense vulnerable to counter treys, reverses and lateral passes to the back/vacated side, like Chicago did.

Expect to see it more.
Fwiw Chicago’s been doing this ever since their bye. Three weeks in a row with 200+ yards rushing. No matter what defense you have an elite running QB and great run scheme gives anyone fits.

True Speed is an important factor and swarming D is what we are seeing, but assignment specific needed to be there also. I see still too many runs in the middle and short yardage easy conversions to TEs in the middle. Is it because of run stopping LBs ( read LVE and Barr ) or coverage missing SS/ LB ( wilson, kearse , and absense of Cox ) , this is one aspect which I would like to see improvement.

Some crazy speed on defense. Especially in the front 7.
Lots of CBs are fast. Not so many DE/LBs.

They run 75% of the time. Running yardage will be inflated.

Neither, it's because we relied on speedy 3-tech DT's rather than a NT that takes up space and reduces the ability of the O-Line to get to he second level and blocking LVE/Barr et al.

It's another element of us fans watching he outside run (blaming the LB/SS) and not appreciating the work of the O-Line did to influence/facilitate the play from the inside.

Speed is one element, however, a team needs to predicate it with physicality in the trenches.

Quinn has built the defense he wants here. He likes to have a very fast unit that patrols a lot of ground underneath, and hits hard when they get there.

Going against Quinn's defense, Peyton Manning completed 69% of his passes in Super Bowl 48. But it was for 5.7 YPA.

I know it's a dirty word around here, but Quinn is fundamentally a BBDB schemer. It just looks better when you have Micah Parsons destroying worlds and the defense doesn't spend 5 seconds bending.

Where did you get Trevon Diggs’ forty from? He didn’t run it at the combine or his pro-day.

Hooker is another that looks pretty quick but I haven’t seen a 40 time.

According to the threadstarter we have Stefon Diggs so it's all good

Won't be holding out any hope on Joseph. He might flash a play, a game, even more. Not trustworthy.
