Maybe PFF takes into account the weak offenses we’ve played, I’d understand if that was the case.

That does have the strongest correlation to wins, but opponent drive success rate and defensive passer rating are also right up there. The average of all three of those would probably give a more accurate picture.

points per drive 2nd
drive success rate 4th
defensive passer rating 27th

Even by this method we're still Top 10.
the passer ranking is probably because we had the lead in the games and had to play prevent defense.....oh wait...never mind

Lawrence's production has slowed after a huge start, but none of these other guys have stepped up like we had hoped. Each week that goes by it seems we drop lower and lower.
he is seeing a lot of double teams.... specially with TEs on his side, someone has to get a push from the other side or the middle. Irvin was having some success, but now he is out 4-6 weeks

His contract expires this year, and Cooper's next year. Why does everyone think we are guaranteed keeping Cooper forever, yet the Eagles are only going to have Tate for these last 9 games?
Well for one, Cooper is several years younger than Tate, and tow, I don't think the Cowboys would give up a 1st round pick if they were not going to extend Cooper in the offseason.

This should be a sobering stat for most folks who think that we have a SB caliber defense. We really don't.

Wouldn’t that just correlate with points allowed per game? We’re number 2 in points allowed and you posted #2 in points allowed per drive.

Lemme take a while guess and say that Baltimore is number one in point allowed per drive and Tennessee is number 3, right?
Nope. BAL is 1st, but TEN is 5th.

More strikingly, CLE is 6th is points allowed per drive, but 25th in points allowed per game. They've had a huge number of drives against them (114, compared to 74 for DAL).

I know that Cris Collinsworth now owns PFF but they remain me of Enron back in the late 90's. How do we come up with our financial numbers? We have a system but can't really explain it, but trust us it's true. The ol' black box theory. I have never heard a solid answer from PFF on how their grades are actually formulated.

And if Tate works out, the Eagles will want v to extend him as well. And Cooper has no real ties here, so I doubt we get a home town discount. It'll be just like signing a free agent.

Can’t believe it but we are 19th in the league in sacks. Yuck

We're lucky that Jaylon is coming up with some pressure, or we'd be much worse.

Some guys we were counting on just haven't made the field much, and haven't been as effective as hoped when they did. The layoffs for Gregory and Irving are showing. Gregory does seem to be improving. I have hopes for him going forward. Maliek has only played 4 games. We'll have to hope that he can take up some of the slack of Irving being out.

Across the dline, including Lawrence, we're just not as good as we hoped, and not present on the field enough to make the most of what we do have.

But one thing to keep in mind about the rush - you get your numbers when you're ahead in games. When the other team is ahead and can run or pass on their whim, it's hard to get sacks.

Signing Cooper will likely be worse than free agent money. Management gave away a 1st to sign him. They won't want to look like fools by having him walk in a year and a half. That gives Cooper all the leverage.

I'm not happy with that stat so I found one that I could be happy with.
Points per game allowed.
The Baltimore Ravens are number #1 allowing 17.1 points per game.
The Dallas Cowboys are #2 allowing 17.6 points per game.
Suck it ...PFF....Go Cowboys:flagwave:

And both of those teams have losing records. Meaning that stat means very little.
