Great, now that jinxes it. Look for deep passes.
Maybe this is why there is a lack of INT's. No deep passes.

Maybe the other teams don't feel the need to take any chances because Dallas is not putting any pressure on them to score....

or

The defense is designed to make you work it down the field, which is why there are so many short passes given up

or

Maybe a bit of both..

If we cannot defeat Sam Bradford we don't deserve to make the playoffs or win this God awful division. Bradford is a terrible quarterback right now. Despite the fact that he has pretty nice weaponary around him. Certainly better than St. Louis. He's about as bad as Cassel at throwing the deep ball. He's gonna give us at least four or five opportunities to make a play on the ball.

Unfortunately on the other side especially with the way the Eagles have forced turnovers in the last month or so Cassel is gonna give them ample opportunity as well. You have two noodle arm quarterbacks who have tried to force the ball down field and have failed miserably. You have two good, but not great defenses. The Eagles OL is still pretty bad. The Cowboys OL has looked like itself in recent weeks, but we know they've been owned by the Eagles in the past. Can they rise up? If you're tired of hearing Philly run their mouths then quit allowing them to push you around and beat you off the ball. Get your hands on them, execute and sustain blocks, and control that line of scrimmage. That's the only way we win this game.

Of course it does. How many times have we heard that an offensive line sucks only for them to be all world against us? Or how about when we play an injury riddled secondary and we can't take advantage of it?

The defense is good. The issue is the offense. Once Romo comes back and the offense takes a solid lead in games that will really play towards the strength of the defense (meaning the pass rush).

If only Romo was playing this Sunday night; I would say that Dallas would beat the Eagles by 14. Romo and Hardy are franchise players.

I think it's the one part of the Marinelli system that is working--bend don't break. We aren't blitzing very often which means there is not much single coverage down field. Offenses are taking what we are giving them. This is why its so much more important we capitalize when teams do make mistakes and throw bad balls.

But I heard Bradford once played really well in a preseason game...

This is just Marinelli's philosophy at work, bend but don't break. It's our philosophy to keep everything in front and not give up the big plays, so the stats shouldn't be a big surprise.

I agree with all of that except Bradford is supposed to have a Grade A arm who can really sling it. Cassel definitely has no arm strength from what I've seen. He has to put every single muscle to work to get the ball 30 yards through the air. If we could pair Cassel's head with Weeden's arm, we would actually have a competent backup QB. The problem with Cassel is that he tries to make tight window throws that he is incapable of making. It looks like he has not adjusted his game with age.

Bradford on the other hand is just a sloppy QB who looks lost right now, but he still has the arm.

Doesn't mean much at this point. Coming off the bye, I fully expect the Eagles to come out running pick/run plays until we prove we can stop it. I'd almost run a form of nickel with Lee shaded near the bunch formation over the DE, ready to jump the route or hit somebody and keep an extra safety in the box .
