Yes we know this and if we do Quinn does too. However, no one is debating that. What we are debating is where Micah is most needed right now with the make up of this defense and I believe with Jaylon gone.....its MLB cause we don't have anyone that is capable of doing it at Jaylons level right now.

Now don't get me wrong if he gets to a level where is capable of playing MLB then good for us because then we can move Parsons. Heck if its Sunday night against the Yikes I would be a very happy Cowboys fan. I am one that just doesn't believe that it will happen but if it does great!

I guess I just don’t see the point in not playing him. Especially watching the veterans committ mistakes.

Maybe because those veterans also are making some plays and we don't know if Cox will. I think we're looking at him in the mold of what Neal is supplying, maybe Kearse on some downs. And right now, we trust those players more than we do Cox. I don't think he's viewed as a sub for Vander Esch, who brings about 20 more pounds to handle the take-on-blockers role since not every linebacker gets to stay clean.

Good thing for video. It shows differently. Jabril Cox can indeed play MLB if needed.

He played mostly outside in college and was used a bunch covering the slot
He’s tall and not as beefy as parsons and not as fast but he’s quick and reads plays well
He’s much better suited for will
Parsons is much better suited rushing the passer
He’s 233 lbs and you want him in the middle taking on guards

I’m just thinking about the long haul and the defense isn’t good enough to be passing over youth for cheap veterans.

Long haul, Cox takes either LVE or Neal's place next year. I don't think there's a reason to rush it, though. As you said, this defense isn't good enough ... but you can stop it there. If the coaching staff feels Cox might make it worse than better, then he doesn't need to play right now, except when we have big leads to get some experience.
