Cowboys Defensive Team Identity

This is the part that I dont want to see us get away from when Dak gets back. The defense has taken the mantle as the leaders and strength of the team. They are playing off the chain EVERY game knowing they have to win every game for us. My worry when Dak comes back is that this attitude shifts. MM would be wise to have the offense and defense get some kind of rivalry going to keep them both competitive.

I dont want Dak and the offense to take back the swagger of the team. Want to be a physically dominating defensive football team.

I agree with you, but I'm more worried about the offense when Dak gets back. I want Dak back to execute the offense they're using with Rush at a higher level. Not try to be the Chiefs. But yeah, this D can't let up. They're only getting better.

We will need both bus driver Dak and #1 offense Dak depending on week to week. Moore has shown that when the run game is working well, he pounds it.

With this defense, Im not sure how much we will truly fall behind so there is that.
And that’s a critical aspect. Dak and our offense has generally performed much better when we have the lead . But when we fall behind especially early we tend to get more pass happy in order to catch up.

With the way this defense is playing and the success of the line in run blocking, I see no reason why this offense shouldnt start humming when Dak gets back. And we have a kicker finally.
Yea, Prescott must be licking his chops watching this defense knowing he doesn’t have to carry this team any longer with his arm.

Dak being pass happy is still just a myth. Getting the ball out quicker I definitely agree with.
So he didn't check out of 13 runs week 1?

He attempted 596 passes in 2021 in 16 games, 37+ attempts per game.

We gotta hope kellen doesn’t change his mentality when he starts seeing some passes getting completed on a pass play he called.

LOL
You need to go to a psychologist to deal with that Troy Hambrick Syndrome you're suffering from.
:lmao2:

Its almost getting laughable at this point. Lets look at the totals for the year:

Zeke: 81 carries for 305 yards at 3.8 ypc, 1 TD
Pollard: 44 carries for 248 yards at 5.6 ypc, 2 TDs

With half the carries, Pollard almost has as many yards and double the TD's. Now the receiving

Zeke: 5 receptions for 27 yards at 5.4 ypc
Pollard: 7 receptions for 71 yards at 10.1 ypc

Lets total that up shall we?

Zeke: 86 touches for 332 yards, 1 TD
Pollard: 51 touches for 319 yards, 2 TD's

With nearly half the touches, Pollard has nearly equal yards and double the TD's!!

Average yard per receptions is nearly double and the average yard per carry is almost 2 full yard higher for Pollard than you 18 million dollar a year hero?

OUCH!!!!! Thats called a complete @zz whooping. :lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao:

At the end of the day your hero, Bench Boy, is still the backup. That means you lose automatically. You can bad mouth Zeke all you want because it changes nothing. Bench Boy will still be Bench Boy.

Dak's job is to get the Cowboys points. The more points Dallas scores takes less pressure off the defense.
Let football be kept a simple game.

If they both start playing with swagger that would be nice

So your worried about nothing. This current offense sucks. I know some of you think it looks good because we are winning, but its not good.

Well thats the nature of it buddy. Teams have to pass when they fall way behind to save time and catch up. And with the Cowboys it has been usually because the run game is not working.

Supposedly he did. One game doesnt make a trend. One game theories make a myth. And we dont even know if it was justified. And how many passes did he check out of into runs?

There was a great article about last year that showed statistically that Kellen Moore being pass happy was nothing but a complete myth. It simply didnt happen. The offense was consistent from the first half of the year to the 2nd half and in the 2nd half of games. If there were situations where we passed more it was situational as in falling behind by double digits and having to catch up late.

Well thats the whole point isnt it? The one you still dont want to grasp.

Your 18 million dollar hero is getting bested by the bench boy. The 800k guy you call a change of pace scat back. LOL

I dont have to bad mouth Zeke, he does that all on his own. :flagwave:

Here's the point... Your hero can't take Zeke's starting job. So as long as your hero is on the bench you will continue to lose our disagreement.

Your hero is Robin, my hero is Batman. My hero is pimping your hero. Your hero goes out and does all the work but my hero gets all the money. That sounds like pimping to me. So, you can continue to say Robin is better than Batman, but Batman is the main character every Sunday.

Right, which is why I want Dak back. Ever see me write that before? I'm not a fan. But we're not going anywhere in the playoffs with Rush. But I don't want them game planning like we still have Tony Romo. Dak is not that quarterback, and never will be. He's a quarterback that needs a defense like the 2013 Seahawks to even sniff a SB.

Why dont we have the horses? Because your hero Cooper got punted? LOL

Some of you just learn slowly. Anyone who said we would miss Cooper was dead wrong. Anyone that said we should have went out signed more veteran receivers was wrong.

I doubt we will be #1 as we wont need to score 36 per game to win anymore with this defense. But this offense will still be a top offense no question about it. As long as the Oline stays healthy.

Ummm, my hero Cooper? We’re missing Ced Wilson more than him IMO.
