Sorry, but that is such a bush league move right there.
The offense was top 5 in points scored and the OC basically gets fired and replaced with one of "Garrett's guys"........so he was not fired for lack of production, Garrett just doesn't like him as much as his bff from Detroit.............then the team denies permission for Callahan to be an OC at a different team.
Total bush league move, only scrub organizations operate like this.
So what should they do? If they like what Callahan does with the offensive line that btw was probably the best its been in a LONG TIME last season why would you let him go?
32 teams are "bush league" then because they all do that on occasion. We're usually one of the more accommodating teams.
If he had an opportunity to be an OC at another team, you are going to force him to stay here and just be a position coach after you demoted him for basically no reason. (top 5 points scored)
Sorry, but that is bush league.
If he was "demoted" it was because of how horrible the offense was. You can say top 5 all you want but that wasn't a top 5 offense. Sorry. I don't care how much their stats were inflated by that Bronco's game.....that was a bad offense that played purely on talent alone and thank goodness they have a good qb, receivers and running back because if they didn't....they would be bottom 5.
I'm doing so good it should really piss my detractors off.Hey Hostile, how you doing buddy.
I am sure Callahan appreciates the gesture.

Kubiak > Callahan, imo too.The Ravens did pretty well hiring Harbaugh over Garrett. Ultimately it'll probably be the same with Kubiak over Callahan.

I don't know about bottom 5, but there was no consistent philosophy or identity. It was like playing Madden against a 5 year old.
You literally could have ran an algorithm with our playbook and using the Ask Madden code and the video game would call a better offensive game than Bill Callahan.
As a coordinator, yeah.
Unfortunately Kubiak's health is not good. More important for him to get healthy than coach right now.
The line play is more because of Travis Frederick and Frank Pollack than Callahan.

That may be true. I'm honestly not sure how much of a influence Callahan has on the line but he has the title I believe so I think he deserves some credit for the progression guys like Parnell, Bernadeau and Leary made from year one to year two.
Well I say bottom 5 because I can only imagine how effective this offense would've been with Eli last year.
If we had Eli Manning instead of Romo, we would've had the worst offense in the league.
Hilarious, because when Garrett was calling plays, playcalling was nothing and execution was everything.
