Hopefully, he's not directly involved in play calling. Otherwise, without some sort of restructure in sideline responsibilities, this might be a case of "too many chefs."

LOL Delay of game #9 Dallas........repeat

The day is coming when the cowboys will hire a coach who hires his own staff, is an alpha male, demands respect form the ownership, and makes key decisions on personnel.

I just hope that coach's name isn't Jerry Jones.

For now, Linehan, welcome to the island of misfits.

Interesting twist.

Welcome our new OL coach: Brian Waters

The "acting" OL coach in 2013 was Frank Pollack. His title was assistant OL coach, but Callahan said that Pollack was the primary OL coach once Callahan took over play calling.

Callahan is under contract though.

I think he can move either laterally or up in position if he's under contract. There's a lot of teams waiting for the Super Bowl to raid their staffs. Look no further than Jimmy with Norv, Wannstadt, Butch Davis, etc.

Only only for hc. He couldn't go unless we let him. I'm sure we would.

Lol... You do realize the Detroit offense is more similar to Garrett's playbook than Callahan's West Coast. This is got Garrett if true...

And it also shows that Garrett still ain't getting his job back.

Linehan was the OC when Reddie was with the Dolphins, so there you go.

Gawd I would love for Callahan to write a tell-all book when he leaves here. All he did was call plays at the direction of the owner -- when he wasn't allowed to implement his offense -- and get the OL playing better, along with being maybe the main impetus behind drafting Frederick... And he still has his HC basically throw him under the bus by letting all his media pals know how unhappy he is with him.

Don't worry... This will be spun as Jerry forcing something on Garrett when it doesn't work out...

Garrett homers full force loving the idea, though last week they were saying it was all on the defense and we didn't need any coaching changes....

Guys aren't you excited? We are now going to be, like Detroit Lions, number one in sacks allowed per pass play. We are going back to career highs in sacks with Romo coming off major back surgery!!!

Still saying that this week.

And, while I never get too worked up over the playcalling stuff, because I think it's totally silly, you also won't catch me worrying one way or another about the team adding an offensive coach. Or about losing one in Wes Phillips either, for that matter.

Looks like Callahan is getting the John Garrett treatment... Make him uncomfortable enough that he'll want to find another job. That way Jerry doesn't have to pay him for sitting on his couch as he would if he outright fired him.

What a messed up organization this is.

Gotta love thirty plus TOs at least two years in a row by the offense. It's exactly what we need. A high risk offense that puts their QB in constant jeopardy to be middle of the pack in scoring... Woo hoo

I'd sit on my butt and force a fire and walk away with a free check. And laugh while we watch the OL play deteriorate significantly again...
