Cowboys draft picks update

You misunderstood what I meant when I said tell us.
ok
bottom line is that a guy coming off a major injury without any work in the off-season and no camp is very unlikely to do diddly squat in a real game

Man. Now we have those two firsts, but no second and 3rd.

This team needs a full compliment of picks to rebuild this thread bare roster on defense.

Love Quinnen Williams, but they’re absolutely going to have to hit on both of those 1sts if they want to compete next year.

this years second and next years first the last I heard
so we still have our third this year

It won't be long.

If the Cowboys wanted to they could get those draft picks back with trade downs of their two first round picks. There are not any stars in this draft but a bunch of solid players so I could see trade downs be feasible. The trade only cost us a first round pick in 2027 if the Cowboys wheel and deal.

if the packers have as good a record as is likely, their pick will be in the 20's

Ours will certainly be much more valuable

BUT I would be on board with trading back with both to get more 2nd and 3rd rd picks

If we do it right we could have 4 picks in those three rounds.

as much as I would like someone like Caleb Downs I would be OK with getting four really solid starters for our D.

The Packers have a tough end of season schedule starting with Eagles on Monday night. There is an outside chance we could have two picks in the teens. They have only one cup cake left on their schedule. I have a feeling we will stay in the playoff hunt until the end. We have lots of are tough games at home then we end the season with two tanking teams on the road (Washington and Giants) We will probably pick between 16-18. While the Packers are in the early 20s. Great trade back scenarios for us either way. This draft doesn’t have many stars but has great depth.

frankly I fail to see how we stay in the so called hunt for a participation trophy more than a few more weeks

The Cowboys are not a good team but Philadelphia, KC, and Detroit are not world beaters. Stranger things have happened.

and once again what difference does it make?
only to those that think participation trophies mean something.

in this day and age when nearly half the teams in the NFL make the playoffs, it means little when you know your team does not have a snowballs chance down below to do ANYTHING even if they get there.

Hopefully Dallas can hang a 40 burger on all of them , Dallas is due and owes them all a good spanking. This defense could get better with Williams, Wilson, Overshown and Revel.
