Does anyone see this kind of thread on other teams’ boards? I’m not trying to be facetious—just wondering aloud.

Tyler Smith looks like he could be very good. We also like Williams, Tolbert and Ferguson, and if Clark fully recovers, an absolute STEAL!

Blahblahblah…grass is always greener….just sayin’.

I enjoyed our draft. We made a lot of good choices. I think Tyler Smith, Williams, Tolbert, Ridgeway, and Ferguson were excellent choices. I also like our UDFA class. I'm going to be at a party tonight, so I'm not sure I'll be able to catch the preseason game tonight, but I'll try to see if I can get a rerun or something to get an idea of how they looked on the field. On paper though, I like how we did the draft and UDFAs.

Smith is showing some good power up front. Williams is showing the ability to take the edge. Tolbert looks like this level might not be too big for him as a rookie. Ferguson has made some nice blocks, which is what we need from a second TE. I've read that Bland is fitting in well at corner. Waletzko's hurt. Ridgeway has been more noted for fights than his play. Clark's out, of course. And not much on Harper yet.

What we've heard is definitely not bad. The question, of course, is what we've got enough to take the next step considering how little we did in free agency.

Bell and Houston definitely look like keepers. Too bad Garibay didn't work out and cement our kicking spot for the next few years.

To answer your question I don't spend time with any team but the Cowboys.

I might watch a little NFC East football because it affects the Cowboys.

But that is pretty much it...

I love what the Cowboys did in the draft and like their strategy of making the team better with good young players. I think that they have an excellent chance at success. They do need to sign another offensive tackle asap.

We are seeing this draft class practice against teammates.

We won't know how good or how bad this draft class is until the third year.

No one knows how good their draft is until the games start. The moment of truth is when rookies are facing real bullets.
The players I mentioned are good. Injuries are pretty much the only thing that will do them in.

Yes, I'd like for the FO to be more active in FA as a great offseason comprises of both good FA signings and great drafts. It's like in English football. Yes, you can build a team with 18-21 year olds. You'll probably win a lot of games. But, you'll never beat the likes of Man City (as my AFC Bournemouth Cherries learned today losing 4-0) if you don't also make good transfer moves. The FO here needs to learn to make a signing or two that are experienced players. If it doesn't work, at least they tried. Still, in terms of the draft and UDFAs, I think they did a brilliant job.

I'm kinda out of the loop on those soft helmet covers that popped up this season. Are they going to wear those during the season? Or, was that just for practice?

I don't look at other teams boards.

Do you?

Keep in mind that they did sign Kearse, Hooker, Watkins, Fowler, and Barr. Those are some pretty good free agents.

Yes, they were. I'm just meaning I'd like them to sign at least one splash like Von Miller who was willing to take a discount here. When those opportunities are presented, it'd be nice if the FO would seize those opportunities.
