You name two exceptions to the rule.
Then we can name Zeke and Dak as well right? The rule is generic meant to suggest you need three 3 years but you really don't anymore.
Especially in Dallas where they are relying on the young kids much earlier to save cap space.
The three-year rule has went by the wayside largely because of cap space.
You can certainly give a player 3 years but the draft classes around here have been proven successful far sooner.
I do think 1 year is warranted but sometimes you know in that first training camp.
2016: A+ day 1.
2017: Mediocre class because they busted on Taco and Chido was average at best. Jourdan Lewis, XWoods and Noah Brown has boosted it to average over time but it'll never really good.
2018: A class day 1 because LVE came out of gate at insane Pro Bowl level. Depth has risen as LVE declined. 6 guys are NFL starters right now.
2019: Below average class, largely because you gave up the R1 for Amari. Plus is all 8 guys still in NFL. Negative is 0 plus starters.
2020: A+ day 1. Cee Dee Lamb and Trevon Diggs were massive steals. Brought other starters in Biadasz and Gallimore.
2021: A+. Micah looks like a Defensive MVP candidate. Osa and Bohannon are giving you rotational snaps at DT. 11 draftees provides insane depth and they all made the team in some manner and appear to be making it again this year.
2022: Likely going to have give most of these guys 1 year but Tyler Smith will start day 1 and Daron Bland looks really good at CB. Sam Willaims brings power on the edge but is rotational. Tolbert is going to be on a Gallup pace where he is on the field some as a rookie
