Cowboys earn an extra $9M on the cap

Not according to many fans on here. They never do anything good.
Glad the fans do not run the team. Jerry has bad moments, but many fans would be worse.
Are you going to say the same exact thing in every thread,?

I thought you were tired of the negativity?......is the cure to constantly say the same negative thing about our fans?

Nope, they do that themselves.

Its my belief most fans would realize they were out of their depth and bring in smarter people to run the team.

I cant imagine doing much worse than the divisional round in 30+ years.
Since way back in the day, I've routinely seen fans make better draft choices than Jerry.

Other than signing Dante Fowler, Dallas drafted first round busts hoping to find one that will bounce back. Not a great strategy unless your happy with 6 - 8 win season.
It is not a horrible strategy when you do not want to spend huge money on 1 or 2 players, as you take chances with them also.
Spread that money around, fill 6 holes and depth over 1 or 2 holes, then have worse players in those other 4 or 5.

Until you all learn, yes. :muttley:

I mean, it is not any different than many posting their stuff over and over in every thread.

Its really annoying the way they pretend every deal and every player pick is so immensely complicated we couldn't fathom how to put together a team.

I understand it takes a lot but so much of it is obvious. As owner you put smarter people around you. You make good hires and you take educated gambles. I dont know why we need to pretend they are doing neurosurgery.

I really don't think so.
I know they would. BobHaze for one.

It's not that they'd be stellar, it's that Jerry's been so bad. They would not take Schooner, Trysten Hill, Sam Williams, Kelvin Joseph, and other 2nd round busts. It would not be hard at all to not waste 2nd rounders as Jerry routinely does.

BTW, Schooner was not a bad prospect, we simply needed other positions much more than a backup TE. Can you imagine if we'd have been smart enough to take Kobie Turner in the 2nd instead?

Well said.

Jerry and his FO quite simply break way too many rules when draft. Too many small college guys, too many key athletic traits ignored, too many injured players taken, and it's so gawdawful the way he falls for every little story going around and takes some rising player that shouldn't be rising. He never asks himself why that player was rated in the 5th but suddenly was considered a 2nd. Jerry has drafted more players in the mid/late rounds who lacked lateral agility than you can shake a stick at. Does he even realize that this is the most common make or break trait for players?

I think their drafts are a mixed bag. They have done stuff like take Dware and wait on Spears. They passed on Johnny football and took Martin, traded down and took Tfred. So I'm not completely punking them.

However, they took Jaylon in round 2, Taco over Watt, traded up for Mo the moron etc.

It really is a mixed bag and you could probably go off a draft guide and go highest available and have similar success.
