Murray may dodge the first pass rusher, can he dodge the 2nd and the 3rd....because they are all coming at the same time.

Actually the difference is monstrous. If you watch the combine telecasts when they superimpose different players' runs on top of one another you see just how big the difference can be. A tenth of a second difference between these guys at top speed is like 2-3 yards. So a guy who legitimately runs 4.3 and a guy who legitimately runs 4.4 could be separated by several feet when they get to top speed. That can easily be the difference between making a tackle or missing it.. or having a receiver be able to run under a pass or a DB having the make up speed to break it up. For what it's worth I suspect AB is probably the fastest of that group and Murray is the quickest and most nimble. But I think Parsons has the scariest "gear" of all of them. He seems to be able to hit the turbo button and move at warp speed to go get a ballcarrier sometimes.

I'm talking about the accuracy difference of the time between the players since they all ran on a different track. Not the difference on the time if they all ran on the same track.

He has been good against us so I'm not feeling great about this one, but it will be a good test and confidence builder for us if we are victorious.

In college, I was a linebacker and could keep up with anyone for 10 yards. Line of scrimmage, that's all one needs.

This will be a first this season, going to be interesting watching just how do we approach this. Hell, Murray is faster than anyone on that offense. Love the challenge, and the Cards that very rare breed of cat that does play better on the road which is weird.
Have Parsons play the spy position
He's fast too

The most important factor in football is speed. The reason the SEC rules the NCAA is that conference recruits speed.

Would ya believe there has never NEVER been a Big10 sprinter run a sub10.00 100m. The SEC has about 30ish, that is crazy. The big guys are fast in the SEC. Both Herschel Walker and Bo Jackson 225 pounds and fast way back when, SECers.

Team speed is a very big deal the more speedy athletes you have the better off you are.

How many times have we read......play Pollard play Pollard, why..........faster!

Hell, while not the SEC, TCU can fill 8 lanes with guys who broke 10.00, but none of them footballers.

Jesse Owens is still the fastest Buckeye, he last ran in 1936, ha!!!!!

Even this years defense is going to be challenged against Murray. He’s going to provide a real test. If our defense enters the game too full of themselves this could be a problem.
The Cowboys will be ready, they are for real.

But your statements are reasonable...

I’ve been saying all season our D would be better in December. At times our D looked like 2020 version…but I think now that Quinn has had a full year to get his system working and the results are there. The real bonus was landing a stud like Parsons, Diggs becoming a ballhawking DB…they potentially make us elite a year after being historically bad.

Murray is a real test…but I think this team is up to the challenge. This will be like a home game…

Question: Can you come up with generally valid 40 times for Cowboys players?

  • Arizona, who started 7-0 and looked primed to be one of the top teams in the league, have since struggled to keep pace with the rest of the NFC. They have now lost three-straight games and five of their last eight since their undefeated run. Some of the losses are excusable such as the 24-21 heartbreaker against Green Bay or the 30-23 battle with the Los Angeles Rams in Week 14. However, there have been some disappointing setbacks like the 34-10 blowout loss to the Carolina Panthers and the more inexplicable 30-12 showing against the Detroit Lions.
  • They last took the field on Christmas Day against the surging Indianapolis Colts in a 22-16 loss at State Farm Stadium in Arizona. After trailing for the majority of the first half, a 24-yard Kyler Murray touchdown pass to Antoine Wesley put the Cardinals up 13-12 mid-way through the third. However, two long drives and 10 unanswered points from the Colts was too much for Arizona to recover as the Indianapolis defense was too much to overcome in the fourth quarter.

Can't have a repeat of last season when they played him

We have our QB for this game and our defense is much better this time around. If the same result happens this time around, we are in bad shape.

This is also the first meeting in the regular season and at AT&T Stadium since Monday Night Football in Week 6 of 2020. Also known as the game directly following the devastating injury to Dak Prescott a week prior. A game where the Andy Dalton led Cowboys never found a groove and were dominated by the full-strength Cardinals, 38-10.
