ok. If that is how you want it.
Actually, it's not. Catch made a funny.

At this point, I just thought it best to leave the convo alone as it's already on a level that it really shouldn't be.

It's always been all good on my end.

Let's just get back to just bashing the Falcons and leave it at that.

Weekend Predictions: Falcons, Jackets and Phillips (oh my)
7:39 pm October 22, 2009, by Jeff Schultz

If we have learned anything in sports, it’s that it’s all about talent evaluation, which tells you why the Falcons are thriving with Matt Ryan and the Dallas Cowboys are too often flailing with Tony Romo and Steve Phillips is sitting in that special corner of what-were-you-thinking hell, because, like, dude, I know every general can’t resist the scrappy overachieving infielder once in a while and running the New York Mets can fry the mere mortal’s braincells but did you really mean to firebomb your life over the Mark Lemke of female interns?

Here's Brooke Hundley as she was working her way up the ESPN foodchain to Steve Phillips.
The Falcons have done almost everything right in the last 22 months. The Cowboys haven’t quite done everything wrong. It just seems that way.

Jerry Jones has picked the wrong players. He has picked the wrong coaches. He certainly picked the wrong surgeon of cheekology for his last nip-tuck.

About the only thing Falcons owner Arthur Blank probably would want from Jones would be the cash register receipts being generated by his new House of Gluttony, Cowboys Stadium (which is still without naming rights, as the Federal Reserve pulled out two weeks ago when the Cowboys had to rally to beat the Chiefs).

Falcons-Cowboys? This one’s pretty easy to evaluate. Dallas actually has some talent. Problem is everybody too often is running in the wrong direction. Think panic. Think brain melt. Think Phillips running head first into a wall. Again. The only thing I can’t figure out is why I’m getting four points to play with?

Take them. You won’t need them. Falcons over Cowboys.

On a side note, I met Jeff Schultz at a show in East Atlanta back in September. Nice guy. Horrible columnist.

House of Glutony....................stadium envy problem.....Georgia Dome is 17 years old, and IS STILL a very nice stadium. But yet a week or so ago, I heard he is already wanting ANOTHER NEW Stadium.....

this thread is hilarious. Theebs when did you become such a softy? it was only like a month ago your posts were the best stuff to read on this site. now it's just whining about how other teams don't get disrespected in the media as much as the Cowboys and your precious Tony Romo. here's a brief dramatization of you lately.

Cowboyszone Member: "good post Theebs!"

Theebs: " are you calling me out? Tony Romo is the bestest qb ever cause Babe said so last night on tv. also he should get zero blame for anything cause Babe also said that too. how come the media isn't all over the Eagles for losing to the Raiders like they would be if we lost to them? Roy Williams implying it's Romo's fault for not getting any passes is blasphemy!" etc.

I had a link to the AJC article on the stats breakdown of each team. I made a simple comment that this was good for us that the atlanta writers were acting like we were going to get killed and that they keep writing that we made a mistake with romo and they have a hall of famer in ryan.

It then turned into a handful of people jumping me for not citing which columnists said that, and not leaving a link to who said it and how here at the zone all opinions must use sources or links to substantiate them.

And the point was the same as many other posts I have made this week, I like the way this was playing out. The atlanta media and fans basically overlooking us worrying new orleans, and the national media giving atlanta the game already. that is a good scenario for us while getting healthy and coming off a bye.

It had nothing to do with feeling disrespected just enjoying the feeling of being the underdog and being told the team who will lose and is not any good for a change.

Yet the same people who turn many threads into nonsense, turned this one into one. Oversensitive, overdrammatic etc....none of that had anything to do with it.

I am not here taking sides on the original issue of this thread...However, as Theebs has already mentioned this game is absolutely, positively, perfectly setup for the Dallas Cowboys. I actually even predicted that it would shape up this way 2 weeks ago after the Falcons anihilated the Niners and it has played out likewise. The entire country is all over the falcons this week, it is not just their local media guys. I am going to go out on a limb and I will predict that the Dallas Cowboys defeat the Atlanta Falcons rather convincingly and WILL cover the spread.
