I can’t disagree with this thought process enough. You are going to need either two or three scores to win depending on how the two point conversion goes. By finding out on the first TD whether or not you made it allow you to better plan the rest of the game. After we missed the conversion we knew we needed two scores. Wouldn’t you rather find out that you needed the extra score with five minutes left as compared to less than two? Not going for it isn’t ‘extending the game’ it’s putting off the inevitable and withholding crucial information from you until later in the game.
