The Cowboys got back to their winning ways this past Sunday when they beat the Lions 24-6. The game marked the return of Dak Prescott to the team, giving it a complete feel for the first time since Week 1. While the offense didn’t exactly break out with Prescott under center, they did take advantage of some late-game turnovers to put points on the board and sew up the victory.

The victory helped the Cowboys keep themselves in the running for the NFC East title, where they trail a 6-0 Eagles squad, and a 6-1 Giants team. Can the Cowboys actually catch those teams and take home the NFC East crown in 2022? We asked, and you guys were pretty divided on the answer with 49% of respondents saying yes, the Cowboys can still win the NFC East.

This team could win the NFC East with some Eagles losses, but Philly's schedule is so soft (and they are so good) that I doubt they are going to lose more than 2 or 3 games. I expect them to finish no worse than 13-4. While the Giants have proven to be better than expected, they will still pick up some losses and we are likely to finish with around the same record as them at 11-6 or 12-5. All things considered, a division championship is likely already out of reach.

While winning the division is the goal every year, the most important thing is just to get into the playoffs while playing good football. The Cowboys are playing great defense and if the offense can get its act together, this squad has a great chance to go the distance. Becoming hyper fixated on the division is a fallacy. The prize is bigger than that and very much within reach.

The NFC is wide open this year, and being the 5 or 6 seed is not a huge disadvantage due to the lack of superpowers. Dallas is in a great spot.

We will play the games and see. Last season the last undefeated team was the Arz. Cards 7-0 by the time post season came they were an after thought

I am not sure the eagles will lose many but I think the gmen will have a nice losing streak very soon. (got my fingers crossed)

It's amazing what a good coach will do for a team. It's going to be a tight race and will probably go down to the last 2 games. Seems to happen almost every year. 17 is a lot of games and anything can happen. Should be exciting.

I don't think the Eagles will continue to be a serious threat. I think their offense will falter as teams defend them like they do the Ravens. It's a high school offense and there's a reason most teams in the NFL shun it, but it works until defenses simply box in the quarterback and play good pass defense.
The Giants are for real and getting better, but their first defeat at the hands of the Cowboys will linger in their minds, giving Dallas the edge.
So the only team I see that can beat the Cowboys is themselves. Just like against the Lions, if the Cowboys offense shuts down for three and a half quarters, teams better than the Lions will take advantage of that and the Cowboys could suffer some preventable losses that might knock them from contention for the East title.
Defense wins championships, but a poor offense could really hurt the Cowboys as the season wears on.
We'll see.

I would agree that offense needs to step up. If they can do that then this team can be a major factor

I for one am not crowning the stinking Eagles before it's absolutely necessary. The Giants are also still ahead of us, but I suspect they'll crash and burn. I believe at least one team will take advantage of the Eagles getting inflated heads, and then we play the Eagles again, so we've got a shot.

Can they? Yes absolutely

Will they? Probably not unless Philly has some bad injuries

Philly just has too soft of a schedule and is playing too good
Exactly, it is not really up to us anymore unless Philly is only 1 ahead before we meet them next!
