Cowboys fans feel confident about returning to the playoffs

The Cowboys didn't go 7-10 last season because they forgot how to play football.

Cowboys fans have been paying attention and realize that the number of injuries as well as their placement had a devastating impact on the season. The other issue was obvious from the start.

The Cowboys offense was one-dimensional. They had little to no talent in their RB squad combined with two rookies starting along he offensive line.

The free agents lost this offseason is unfortunate but not detrimental.

The majority of these issues have been reduced and even enhanced by acquisitions through free agency, trades, and the draft.

However, their season will always be unpredictable due to the overdependence of some big-contract players.

The season is over is Dak misses more than 2 games and that could occur on any play. Milton might be a starting caliber QB someday but that day will not arrive in 2025.

Other players that they cannot afford to lose is Lamb, Parsons, and i will even go so far as to include Tyler Smith. Ferguson would also be difficult to replace. The Cowboys have so little depth.

If they can stay in good health, I think they have potential. if it goes like last season, then it will end the same, over before it even begins.

Did someone interview Rambo and Rockport?

I don't think most of us are feeling confident. Maybe hopeful. But right now, until proven differently, we have to be considered behind the two teams from our division that played in the NFC Championship Game last season.

Doesn't mean we'll end up behind both, just there's no reason to be confident that we will end up better than either.

I really envy you're enthusiasm, and I'm not being sarcastic.

It does seem to me though that for every step forward the cowboys make, they take two steps backwards for some reason.

I really hope Jerry can prove me wrong, but if I was betting man (which I'm not), my money would be on Jerry, the coach or a player to do something kind of stupid to stop them dead in their tracks when it matters the most.

Every year I expect the cowboys to get close to the playoffs as they don't suck, but history has shown once you get your hopes up after the last couple of decades, you generally get burned due to something stupid. You're mileage may vary ;)

The only things wrong right now are threat of injuries, recovering injuries, and the attitudes of posters who really can't get past understanding short comings of a 30 year calendar.

There really are a set of strong statistical strengths for under 5 - 10 years. Ask those with attitudes to explain the real sports strengths for once. You know, real facts and not just attitudes.

I still think 10-7 is possible.
 
I feel confident they can push for the 6th or 7th seed playoff spot.
I will need 3 to 5 games to see otherwise, and that includes seeing the other NFC teams as well.

Fans, well, some fans expect us to improve. Well, then expect other teams will improve also.
Just as some teams will take a step back. It always happens.

Yes, one could argue that the cowboys are improving over the years, but can you honestly say to yourself that Jerry and company haven't done something really stupid that leaves you scratching your head on why they keep shooting themselves in the foot?

End of the day, does the attitude of fans really dictate how the players will play? I expect the boys to have a winning season, but is that why you're playing the game?

Don't get me wrong, I hope the Cowboys finally make it after their drought, but if I was a betting man, sad to say, I'm not there yet having such high expectations, and that's due to the current owner.

To some extent, one could argue this is exactly why Jerry wants to always stay relevant during the season. I honestly believe Jerry's ultimate goal is to keep the team the most valuable in the world, and that's keeping him from "going all in" to win the big one.

Prescott played most of 7 years and had winning seasons in 5 of them.

Prescott had playoffs in 3 straight and MVP runner up in 2023 by league vote. He also was leading rookie QB in 2016.

Because of the awful Enigma that is Dak a majority of the fan base are numb and are no longer able to be hyped up like a 9 year old fan

But some fans are so pathetic and sad that they will still buy into the Jerry Crazy train no matter how obvious the facts are. Because they love the Cowboys so much they defend #4 to the death. . . then turn around and criticize the Sober Fans because they are no longer joining in on the delusional circus
