Never wanted him to begin with. Smaller version of Tebow.

i don't get the Tebow comparison at all......Tebow was a run first QB that could throw a pass every now and then. Manziel destroys you with his arm and then when no one is open torches you with his feet. Manziel is an excellent QB that has destroyed a defense two years in a row that compares well to any NFL defense, Alabama. Manziel can read a defense, has control of his team, and won't wilt in the fourth quarter. There are a lot of young guys having success in the nfl nowadays and hard to see that Manziel won't with the dual threat that he is. He has the whole package except for the size.

size and discipline off the field. That kind of character will be magnified by 100 if he ends up here.

Regarding discipline off the field - I doubt he's ever going to be the type of a person who takes a gun into a nightclub in NYC and shoots himself with it (Plaxico Burress), or drives drunk and kills a jaywalker in Florida (Donte Stallworth), assaults a police officer with his car (Randy Moss), or has an arrest record a mile long (Pacman Jones). Those guys are given chance after chance.

Manziel will be fine in the NFL, as far as character.

He won't have those kind of issues, but he will get a lot of attention. He will get the type of negative attention similar to what Romo got when he was dating celebrities.

He is the anti- tebow in terms of personality.

manziel is a lot like romo, except he runs better and doesn't choke in the clutch, in fact its where he shines the most. He knows he will win and its infectious to his team.

Many of Manziel's throws wouldn't make it to the NFL level. I see him quite often chuck it up between 3 defenders and his WR come down with the ball.

his WRs were good last year but this year most of his team is garbage. He makes them competitive. He is excellent at reading a defense, both pre-snap and post-snap. He doesn't have the strongest arm but he puts the ball where it needs to be consistently even so much that he gives the WR a chance to run with it after the catch. He's also stellar at making a play with arm OR feet when no one is open. He will drive a D Coordinator insane, ask Saban...who has a better defense than us.

That is great and all. But his personality does not justify his talents.. at least in my opinion.

He sure is fun to watch but, he seems like fish running from the hook. In the NFL, that turns in to turnovers no matter your talent level. You have to be composed in every decision, whether run or pass. I dunno. He may wind up a stud. I just have this feeling he'll be a bust. I'm usually right on players I get that feeling with. Not that anyone gives a sh**. :D

think about Manziel this way.....he's a MUCH better college QB than RGIII was coming out, Manziel is exponentially better than Geno Smith or Ej Manuel and yet those guys have found some success....same with Russell Wilson and Kapernick.

I think Evans the WR and Mathews the OT are both better NFL prospects than Johnny Football.
